The Space Bears Neptune’s Pride 2 diary – Days 4 to 7 – The Drums of War Thunder…

A close friend of mine became rather addicted to Neptune’s Pride 2: Triton in the early months of this year, after I introduced it to him. Part of his addiction has led to the playing of many games, far more than I’ve ever played, and in his time he even managed to secure a place in the group stages of the Neptune’s Pride 2 World Championship back in July (3 games of 6 people). Due to the importance of the game to himself and to the community of Neptune’s Pride, I persuaded Sam to keep a log of the major events and he went a step further to keep a detailed and entertaining diary. I will post the diary in short segments for you reading pleasure! Here are the previous entries: Days 1-3.

The Space Bears Neptune’s Pride 2 diary – Days 1 to 3 – A humble beginning

A close friend of mine became rather addicted to Neptune’s Pride 2: Triton in the early months of this year, after I introduced it to him. Part of his addiction has led to the playing of many games, far more than I’ve ever played, and in his time he even managed to secure a place in the group stages of the Neptune’s Pride 2 World Championship back in July (3 games of 6 people). Due to the importance of the game to himself and to the community of Neptune’s Pride, I persuaded Sam to keep a log of the major events (similar to that done by both us and Rock, Paper Shotgun) and he went a step further to keep a detailed and entertaining diary. I will post the diary in short segments for you reading pleasure!

Seb’s Skyrim Journal Part 9 – I’m kind of a big deal…

Welcome back to Seb’s Journal of his adventures in Skyrim where I have the intention of doing ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING that the game has to offer. These articles will be of some of the best or most amusing experiences I have in the game and I will hopefully be coming out with them fairly regularly. If you are interested you can see where I left off last time here.

Seb’s Skyrim Journal Part 8 – Nothing I can do?

Welcome back to Seb’s Journal of his adventures in Skyrim where I have the intention of doing ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING that the game has to offer. These articles will be of some of the best or most amusing experiences I have in the game and I will hopefully be coming out with them fairly regularly. If you are interested you can see where I left off last time here. Tolfdir has managed to bring the giant glowing orb from Saarthal back to the College and it is sitting right in the centre of Hall of Elements. I don’t fully understand how they managed to get the thing, considering that it is bloody huge, all the way from there to here without even a giant orb shaped hole where the door used to be but I decided not to dwell on it. Tolfdir informs me that this some have started calling this thing the “Eye of Magnus” which means nothing to me but seems to hold some significance to him. I inform him that I succeeded in retrieving the books for the Library and that one of them seems to hold some relevance to the orb. Honestly that involved too much reading for me so I just lied and told him I had read it and let him tall me what the Eye was all about.

Seb’s Skyrim Journal Part 7 – Where in the world is Orthorn

Welcome back to Seb’s Journal of his adventures in Skyrim where I have the intention of doing ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING that the game has to offer. These articles will be of some of the best or most amusing experiences I have in the game and I will hopefully be coming out with them fairly regularly. Seb’s Skyrim Journal Part 6 – A slow but sure return to form

I originally started my diary of my adventures in Skyrim waaay back near the start of January this year with the intention of resuming it over Easter and Summer breaks. I don’t quite know how but during both of those periods I spent only a little time on this, one of the best games ever made. I did spend some time on it, but only in dribs and drabs, not quite enough for a diary entry. I am however pleased to say that since my return to University this year (where I now have access to an Xbox in my flat) I have properly started to get back into Skyrim with the intention of doing ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING that the game has to offer. These articles will be of some of the best or most amusing experiences I have in the game and I will hopefully be coming out with them fairly regularly. If you are interested you can see where I left off last time here.

The Neptune’s Pride Diary of His Royal Highness, Emperor of the Ileryu (a.k.a. Sabor117) – Parts 4 to 8

Click here for Parts 1 to 3 and for Elephant_God’s account of the early game His Royal Highness, Emperor of the Ileryu – Journal Entry 4 21/01/20012 Log Starts – What are they doing? I simply do NOT understand it. The Green has built up an army capable of smashing my Empire into pieces and assembled it right on my border. And then they stopped doing anything. The Reds are pushing into the Yellow Empire slowly but inexorably, as he and I did with the Teal. Speaking of Teal, I ought to say how that is going. Teal marshalled his last fleet on one of his last four planets. The only one within reach to me and Yellow. I had recalled all my strongest fleets to my border with Green and so only had one weak one. Yellow had a stronger one but it possibly wouldn’t have been able to win the fight as Teal had a reasonable amount of ships in his fleet.

His Royal Highness, Emperor of the Ileryu – Journal Entry 1 Stardate 9/1/20012 Log starts – Our great Empire has come to the sudden realisation that we are not alone in this Galaxy of ours. In fact we share it with another seven space-faring civilisations all in a similar position as us. Meaning they are just starting to expand the borders of their domain. We are in an interesting position which could be considered either strong or weak depending on how you view it. We are at the edges of the Galaxy and as such are not so unfortunate as some in that we are not surrounded by the other civilisations. That said we are within reasonable distance of two space-faring civilisations and only a little further away from a third.

Overhaul

Hey folks! You may be wondering why things have been slowing down of late in regards to reviews/news and other shenanigans and I just want to inform ya’ll to our plans. While we have been receiving steady viewership (thanks guys!) we are looking to overhaul the site into something more consistent and high quality. With that in mind there is going to be a lot of changes coming in over the next couple of weeks and as a result posts will be sparse. Yet have no fear! Things are on the up and we hope it will stay that way. Keep an eye on us and you won’t be disappointed! Regards, The MMGaming Team   EDIT: We are also considering changing to a Joomla layout (from the current WordPress layout) which might result in some downtime while we mess around to get it working. If the site isn’t up for any reason just assume that we are working on it and come back in a couple of hours!

Sabor117’s Mass Effect 3

I think it’s reasonably safe to say that of the MMGamers, I am the one most looking forward to Mass Effect 3. Tim will most likely play it through at some point as may Nick. Josh seems fairly keen on it. But honestly since I played Mass Effect about two years ago followed swiftly by Mass Effect 2 (I borrowed the first one so I could play it before I played the second) I have quickly decided that the games are amongst my favourite of all time. Therefore in honour of the fast approaching release date of Mass Effect 3 (next Friday here in Europe) I have decided that I will share with you my Shepard and all the major decisions I’ve made. Because as we know, decisions from previous games carry on into the next ones and Mass Effect 3 will apparently take over 1000 past decisions into account… This is gonna be awesome! (WARNING: This article contains a large number of spoilers for both games!)
