Master Chief new look
Just a quick shout out to you lot that THIS is the new look for Master Chief in Halo 4 this year. Apparently his suit design in the trailer wasn't final, well these new figurines show off his PROPER new suit design.
343 Industries boss, Frank O'Connor, has previously said that there are reasons for MC's new suit but they have yet to divulge any of them. Looking goooood though.
Ghost Recon Online closed beta
Those of you interested in this particular instalment of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon series will probably be interested to know that starting on March 5th there will be a closed Beta for Ghost Recon Online so you can check out the gameplay and the classes. You can sign up for the Beta here.
Ubisoft have also revealed that you earn experience for each class you play as, so you might want to try out each one of the three a bit in order to get a proper idea of how they will play. As a free-to-play game (and being developed by Ubisoft no less) the game is obviously worthy of our interest. But forgive me if yet another modern style FPS has me feeling less than overwhelmed.
Aliens: Colonial Marines Cinematic Trailer
A new trailer for a new game by Sega. It involves the Aliens that have been fucking up humanity for the last 20 years in a variety of nasty ways and some pretty awesome graphics. Apparently it's due to come out this Autumn, so those of you who are interested can make a note in your dairies.
Colour me nothing. Don't get me wrong, the game could well be good. But the last FPS Alien game I played got boring after about 30 minutes. Don't get me wrong, it COULD be good. But I'm not going to hold my breath and I will watch it's development with an interest born only of being interested in games.... The trailer IS cool though...
Dead Island DLC
Some new DLC for Dead Island will be hitting the Island on the 1st of February. Apparently featuring the main game's original antagonist, Colonel Ryder White, it makes for an interesting idea for some DLC. Perhaps it's a prequel of some sort... I don't know enough about Dead Island to be able to say...
What I do know, is that there is a trailer, it's pretty cool and the DLC will probably be full of even more awesome and gruesome bashing and slashing of zombies to bits. And disembowelling. And electrocuting. And shooting. Hell how many ways are there to actually KILL a zombie?!?
ThatForrow’s Demo Time – The Darkness 2
ThatForrow, international funny man and game player has brought us the second in his series of Demo Time. This, the second episode, features the upcoming horror/shooter The Darkness II by 2K Games.
So sit back, relax... Well actually... You'll find it difficult to relax here... It's creepy and amusing in spades! So sit forward, tense up and have a wee chuckle! Here's Master Forrow's Dem Time!
Warface Trailers and New Screenshots
While perhaps not as innovative as Binary Domain (see the previous post) Crytek's shooter Warface which has been in development for some time now does look really, REALLY good. Plus, this is going to be a free-to-play online game rather than a story based, squad-based shooter. I think with this in the works and it looking so damn good Modern Warfare 3 ought to go into a corner somewhere and quietly eat it's heart out...
Anyway you should definitely check after the jump for some brand new screenshots of the game and for a snippet of the Alpha gameplay footage. Which actually looks astounding as well despite the footage having been made in 2010! I think Battlefield 3 might have to go eat it's heart in a corner as well...
Trust me, it does look THAT awesome...
Syndicate Co-op Demo coming soon
You remember Syndicate right? The game that I only JUST heard about? Well a co-op demo is coming to XBL and PSN very soon. And when I say very soon I genuinely mean in like the next week or so. My understanding is that the XBL version will be available on the 31st of January while the PSN version will be avaliable just a scant day later on the 1st of February.

Yes we can see what people look at using the stats wordpress provides but it isn't as effective as asking you directly. Rainbow 6 Patriots Trailer: Because they weren’t bad-ass enough yet…
Do you remember the last "trailer" for Rainbow 6 Patriots? It showed Ubisoft's target gameplay footage for the next Rainbow 6 (I.e. what they want the game to look like!). Not only did it look absolutely awesome but it was pretty brutal as well. It was fairly controversial in it's displays of terrorism, counter-terrorism and the death of innocents. This next trailer, while I think it is a little less harsh, is only slightly better...
Regardless of brutality and controversy the new trailer is absolutely amazing! In fact these days, trailers have just reached a standard that never ceases to stun me with the scale and depth of graphics that can be achieved. I only hope the game actually looks as good as the target gameplay footage. Check it out after the jump!
