Song of the Week – Zelda Medley
Despite my dislike of all things Zelda related I have to admit that this particular medley of tunes from the series of games played masterfully on a violin by one Lindsey Stirling is pretty damned awesome.
It may not be the dance or dubstep you expect from us to help prepare you for the weekend, but it certainly ties in with last week's theme of calm but stirring music! So I suppose we should all break out our Master Swords and turn into wolves and ride some horses and Triforce this bitch up!
Minecraft: Day One
In order to make up for my radio silence with the news for the better part of this week I've decided to post even more awesome for you guys to enjoy!
It combines two of my favourite things! Live action fan movies and Minecraft! Boom!
The Battle for Skyrim
I thought I'd kick-start today with even more awesome from Skyrim! Using a whole handful of mods an ambitious Youtuber Tyrannicon put together a line up of 500 Draugr, 200 skeletons, 500 Dwarven Warriors, and a dragon plus some heroes and some wraiths all set to absolutely fuck each other up.
It quickly escalates from awesome to full blown legendary and you can check out the video after the jump. Expect magic and explosions and awesome filling your hearts and souls for the rest of the day.
Song of the Week – This is Aperture
It is time to get ready for the weekend (fun fun fun?) and in order to get us in the mood we have a new song of the week. This is Aperture, a Portal 2 themed version of This is Halloween from the Nightmare Before Christmas, created by one Harry101UK. This is Aperture? This is AWESOME more like!
Because it is awesome! Not only is the original score by Danny Elfman completely fantastic, but this is also absolutely legendary! Let's mess about with some Portals shall we?
Singles Awareness Day comes to Skyrim
Now why you'd want to mix anything as awesome as Skyrim with something as ridiculous as a relationship is beyond me but for those of you who want to try then you're in luck! In fact you can use this as a testing ground for any budding relationships this Singles Awareness Day!
All you do is give your other half one of the awesome Skyrim themed Valentines cards that are after the jump and based on their reaction you decide whether to stick with the relationship. Just saying, if they don't get it they're clearly not keepers...
IT’S OVER 1000!!! Players…
A few days ago a new Guinness World Record was set for the most gamers playing on one single online multiplayer server at the same time. Around 1000 people were all online at the same time in one gigantic battlefield with lazers and profanity flying every which way.
Developed by Much Different, Man Vs. Machine (the game in question) wasn't supposed to be about great gameplay or amazing graphics or anything. In fact all of that is very basic when you see the video of the event itself. What it was designed to do, however, was demonstrate a new system for creating massive online battles.
Song of the Week – Cello Wars
I feel a great disturbance in the force. As if something awesome is fast approaching and there is nothing we can do to stop it... I fear it's going to be Legen wait-for-it-until-you-hear-this-piece-of-music DARY! Legendary!
Today something that I've never believed was possible has happened. Today, someone made a cover of some of the Star Wars music that is as awesome as the original. I know guys! I can already hear you yelling that the original soundtrack is some of the most awesome music in existence and changing it in any way is to make it worse. And yet somehow... These guys... The Piano Guys have done just that. Trust me right now when I say this is unbelievably awesome and you should watch this right now...
Save File Locations
I'm not so full of it and arrogant to believe that a great many people will pay attention to me and my opinions. And certainly not big, multi-national corporations. But they should! And so should you!
But arrogance aside, a specific article from Rock, Paper, Shotgun (yeah, them again!) caught my eye the other day that I feel ought to be spread about the internet in so many forms until even the biggest gaming companies sit up and listen.
MMGaming’s War on the Wall of Flesh!
A while ago I joined Tim in a game of Terraria on his world. Tim was actually a reasonable way into game and knows a hell of a lot about the game. Whereas I was a noob who had played about 15 minutes of the awesome game in total.
Tim, despite being a boss, was however in need of a bit of help taking down an absolutely massive and difficult boss in the game called The Wall of Flesh. The Wall, once summoned covers the whole up and down distance of the map and you have to constantly move away from it while slowly whittling down it's massive health store.
