Contest Time – It’s Like an Adventure, Right?

Posted by Nick Axmaker

Alright, folks... I've decided that it's about time for a contest here on MMGaming.net, don't you think? To my knowledge, this is the first one that we've done here... and we're super excited about it! Also, we're even more excited to see some of your thoughts and reactions to our articles that we have here. So, without further ado, welcome to the first ever MMGaming.net contest! (Apparently that's a lie... this is not the first...but it's my first... so yay for new contests, right?)

Diablo III – First Impressions

Posted by Gary Forrow

With the open beta now finished the release date could not come sooner. For those of you that managed to get a taste of the beta you probably feel the same way, but for those that didn't get around to playing it I'm here to help. My opinion should be taken with a pinch of salt as I haven't actually played either of the previous games. With this is mind I won’t be able to make any comparisons to the previous games. Without further delay I bring to you my impressions of Diablo III.

Midweek News – Guild Wars swapping Realms, Some DLC, Some Trailers and our Song of the Week!

Posted by Seb May-Wilson

Interesting news seem to be a little slow lately so I have decided (seeing as I missed last Sunday) to include MMGaming's Song of the Week in this news post. Why news has been slow I can't really say but I'm going to assume it's to do with either me not picking up on interesting stuff or that there is a sort of lull in news now that PAX East is over. Guess we just need to wait to see if it picks up again.

Video Mondaily – Let’s Play the Diablo 3 beta with ThatForrow

Posted by Seb May-Wilson

Why, 'tis Monday dear friends and as we all know that means that it is time for another bout of MMGaming related tomfoolery in whatever game we can find. This week's videos feature this weekend's open beta of Diablo 3 and the welcome return of ThatForrow. Actually, this allows (cunningly) me to welcome Gary aboard the MMGaming team, with college nearly done he has decided to try his hand at writing for us, so we shall see how that goes as well!

Endweek News – A writer sues Ubisoft, Halo 4 get’s a release date, Trailers for God of War and 0x10c are everywhere and Arkham City content get’s teased

Posted by Seb May-Wilson

Once again (due to the excuses I lined out last week) I again failed to post any Midweek News this past week. As well as that, this session of Endweek News was hastily researched and thrown together, you'll just have to forgive me for these things as I have been rather busy. That said most of the news from this past week is actually trailers and other videos, so less reading for you guys. I will say no more on it but jump straight into the news!

Red Alert 2 – The Last ‘Good’ Command & Conquer!

Posted by Nick Axmaker

Westwood Studios is a name that RTS players of old are much more familiar with, as the studio was sucked into the EA conglomerate around 1998 and then destroyed entirely in 2003. Of course, many of the developers went on to create Petroglyph Studios, which is currently working on End of Nations (MMORTS), but they never seemed to entirely recover the magic from Westwood. Westwood Studios was best known for their work on the RTS series Command and Conquer, which was wildly popular back in the day.

Their last game in the series before EA took over was Red Alert 2 and its expansion, Yuri's Revenge. Granted there is a Red Alert 3 with an expansion as well, but it's not even worthy of the name Command and Conquer, let alone Red Alert. Anyway, I'm curious what made this game so great... please read on!

Endweek News (unfortunately late) – Much releases and trailers, some early 0x10c screenshots, a new Borderlands character and some Bullshit Excuses

Posted by Seb May-Wilson

A number of you might have noticed the conspicuous absence of any Midweek News this past week. Well I fear those sharp-eyed amongst you to have spotted that will probably spot similar things again over the coming weeks due to a number of excuses that we at MMGaming have. Very good excuses actually, I'll have you know! We can't spend all our time playing games and talking about them...

Ye gods! What the hell am I saying?!?

Levity aside, it's actually true. Nick and Josh both have commitments outside of the world of gaming which make the time they can spend on MMGaming fairly limited and me and Tim have now, once again, entered that foul time period known to all in University... Yes my friends we are once again preparing for exams and Tim at least won't be posting AT ALL while doing so. Coincidentally we both finish on the 14th of May so you should see a return to normal around then.

Video Mondaily – Let’s Play Cardinal Quest!

Posted by Nick Axmaker

Welcome to Monday where we get to show off our video editing skills to make ourselves look awesome while playing video games! That said, I didn't do any editing this week, because I've never done any editing in my life. Soo... with -that- said, continue on to see what I've got in store for us  for this beautiful start of the week!

Cardinal Quest – Indie Bundle Roguelike!

Posted by Nick Axmaker

Hi everyone! Welcome back to another Friday edition of "Random Reviews with Nick." I'm beginning to wonder if I should just copyright that name or something, because I have to admit that it's kind of catchy, don't you think? Either way, we're back to our end of week review time, and I'm going to be your host again this week.

This week, I'm going to be looking at a recent addition to the indie bundle scene, the Indie Fort Bundle from Gamersgate. One of the games in that bundle is Cardinal Quest, a graphical roguelike. This is the game which is going to get our attention today... so let's get our healing potions and daggers ready, so that we can dive into our dungeoning experience!

Video Mondaily – Age of Empires Online Co-op!

Posted by Nick Axmaker

Welcome to the first of many to come Video Mondaily segments, where the cast and crew of MMGaming.net attempts to bring you a video of something interesting. We attempt to try for entertaining, informative, and perhaps a bit hilarious. This week, to mark our first of this new series, Tim and I decided to sit down and try out some Age of Empires Online co-op.
