Dishonored 2 review – Blink and you miss it

It doesn’t bother me… I swear! I’ve aged, I’ve grown, I’ve matured. I am both wiser and more benevolent for my years, more accepting of the way others do things even if I’d have done it differently. Except none of this is true, and GODAMMIT BETHESDA, how hard would it have been to release a version of the game with the PROPER GODAMN SPELLING OF “DISHONOURED”?! Okay… Seriously now. Serious game review. Yes.

Dead Space 3 review – Dead… SPAAAAAAACE!

This is an article I was putting off for a while because I was struggling to get to a stage where I felt I had done “enough” to produce a review. The definition of “enough” varies from game to game from simply putting in a certain number of hours to actually completing the game depending on how much I am enjoying the game. The point comes down to the fact that I always try to give every game I play a fair shot and to not dismiss them out of hand. However, sometimes it becomes increasingly difficult to reach that moment of “right I’ve played enough now!” With Dead Space 3 I went through some serious pains in order to give it what I felt was a “fair shot”, and it was only when I realised that I was actually going through “pains” in order to play it that I decided that life was too short and stopped a good few chapters before the end.

Endweek News – Seb’s Top Five

Welcome folks, welcome to the Endweek News! This is your weekly segment of SOME things gaming. I say “some” things because, frankly, I have neither the time nor the botheredness to actually post everything of gaming related interest every week and so I will be trimming off the fat and the sliiiightly less interesting stories in favour of the Top Five stories of the week! Welcome to the Endweek News – Seb’s Top Five! So I was ill over the weekend and am only just now putting the finishing touches on this and posting it… Trust me when I say other than a few little things this was ready to be posted on Sunday. Apologies for the poor start.

Catch-Up News – Catching up from a time long since past…

I have no excuses of any real merit as to why I have not posted any News for the last two months and a half. Minus a week that I spent on Holiday without internet and the few days it took to move into my new student flat I really could have been posting Endweek News without any real issues. Seeing as it has actually been over a month since I last posted any form of News the prospect of posting EVERY piece of interesting News during that time makes me go pale with terror. I’ve posted long News posts before BUT I would very much rather avoid having to write out 10,000 words which, let’s be honest here, few people would ever struggle through (no matter how interesting the content). Instead, I did have a few tidbits I had collected with the intention of posting (but never got round to it) from in between our last post (on the 6th) and the present. Hopefully the interest level here will make up for the fact that most of them come really rather late…

Endweek News – Colour Me Intrigued, Release Date City and Videos and Trailers

Hey everyone, it is Sunday again and as usual it is time for the News! Last week I epically failed in that I posted the news from the previous two weeks but then completely forgot to post the Colour Me Intrigued, Release Date City and Videos section. That means that actually this week  this part of the Endweek News is actually THREE WEEKS worth of stuff as opposed to just one… Yeah I know, failure at it’s finest… However, the normal Endweek News section will just be the news from the past week and I hope to have that uploaded later today as well! Anyway, enough talk! What has been intriguing and awesome in the last three weeks? Check after the jump to find out!

Endweek News – Assassin’s Creed lawsuit not quite finished yet, What is this E3 thing?, a new Gears of War and some truly awesome videos!

It is that time of week where once again I delve into the grim and gritty business of video game news. It’s a cut-throat world out there, a game eat game world. A world in which only the fittest and most awesome games survive. And Call of Duty of course (OOoooh! ZING!). But seriously, it’s not really that bad (well not for everyone) and we’ve got some pretty interesting bits and pieces of news to regale you with today. Also I want to make it clear that the above video is indeed sort of relevant to this post as you shall find out later (if you read through this!) So, what’s new Gamers?

Video Mondaily – Lonely Seb takes on Jasper Byrne’s Lone Survivor

Ladies and Gentlemen, lend me your ears! And I would appreciate it if those of you whose ears have already been lent would also lend me your eyes because in my experience it’s rather difficult to read something by listening to it. I mean don’t get me wrong, I have tried to press my ear to my laptop before in order to listen to whatever article I was trying to read but that only works once in every ten times, and even then I don’t hear everything. It is that time of the week where we once again delve into the world of games with an awesome video in which we show off both our own awesome and the awesome of someone’s game. The game in question this week is Lone Survivor, a recent Indie Survival Horror game, by Jasper Byrne. I personally delve into great depth and detail in the game to show it off to it’s fullest extent (pfffffft)!

11 Reasons to get Prototype 2

If you are someone who is undecided about getting Prototype 2 then I have here a trailer which may just convince you to get it. The game comes out on the 24th of April so you still have some time to decide (even if the trailer doesn’t convince you). As someone who wasn’t thinking of getting the game, I have to say… Some of the stuff in the trailer is pretty fucking cool… It’s nice to see so many inventive ways to kill enemies using explosions and massive red tentacles that fire out of your arms.

The Gaming BAFTA’s Awards

This past Friday GAME held the British Academy Video Games Awards for 2011 and I was watching the second half as it streamed live online. In case you missed it there was a rather cringeable moment when Jonathan Ross came on absolutely drunk as anything! I’ve also decided that, in case you missed it (and you can’t really be bothered going through the list of awards over at the official website), that I would help you folks out and post all the awards and various winners here on MMGaming. While naturally not as prestigious as the MMGaming Awards, I imagine that some of these were rather sought after by Game companies so it makes for good food for though, if nothing else. I will post the name of the award, the nominees and the winner of the award. I might also have a wee rant if I decide that the choice they made is something I disagree with. Although, I will try and keep that to a minimum because Tim usually gets on my case when I do stuff like that…

Mass Effect 3 videos launched from the Normandy

Bioware have launched a whole FIVE new videos related to all things Mass Effect 3. They show of the Player Choices, the Co-op multiplayer, the combat and action, the personalisation you can do your guns and your Shepard and the enemies you will be fighting. I actually haven’t watched ANY of them. You see, all the sites I’ve seen these videos posted on mentions Spoilers (as I am now) and I don’t want to spoil any of this great game. That said I thought I ought to tell you folks about them in case you do want to see some of the new stuff. Again, that said I actually had a bit of trouble finding the various videos on Youtube. So I’ll just refer you to Eurogamer who have all 5 videos set out in a nice format for you to watch at your discretion! Enjoy!
