2015 was a big year in video games. Several massive releases each of which several were genuinely incredible. Well, rather than sating us, we were only provided with a hunger, nay a NEED, for more… Unfortunately though it seems that the gaming industry’s recovery period is at least a year because 2016 was mostly, let’s face it, pretty disappointing. I guess it’s only fitting that the games of 2016 would be a bit subpar given how shitty everything else was this year. I mean seriously… This is legit a meme now… 2016 was ACTUALLY cursed? What the heck?

If you’ve read the start of my recent Retrospectacle on World of Warcraft then you might understand that both Tim and IÂ were big time fans of Blizzard’s MMO. We loved that game and everything about it and both of us, at one point or another, reached the end-game raiding content (even getting quite far at times). Both of us also quit for similar reasons, and none of those reasons were that we were fed up of the game. The simple fact was that it devoured our life, free time and money (money which we could not spare at Uni) and so we quit (him a good two years before me).
Hey everyone, my name is Sabor117, and I’m a WoW addict. You know, I was recently introduced to the very well written TV show The West Wing in which a character talks about alcoholism as being where a normal person would have one drink, an alcoholic has ten. They essentially just can’t stop themselves, or at leas that’s what I took away. I got off World of Warcraft four years ago, it was just after I finished school and I found that I just couldn’t quite afford it any longer (both time and money wise). So, I quit, cold turkey. I got my main character to 85 in Cataclysm and then left and never looked back.
Hey everyone, it is Sunday again and as usual it is time for the News! Last week I epically failed in that I posted the news from the previous two weeks but then completely forgot to post the Colour Me Intrigued, Release Date City and Videos section. That means that actually this week  this part of the Endweek News is actually THREE WEEKS worth of stuff as opposed to just one… Yeah I know, failure at it’s finest… However, the normal Endweek News section will just be the news from the past week and I hope to have that uploaded later today as well! Anyway, enough talk! What has been intriguing and awesome in the last three weeks? Check after the jump to find out!
Once again we come, LATE, with news of the world (for which there is actually a good reason for once). And not the unimportant news of the world such as droughts and wars and other things of that nature. No here we deal in the important and the serious. For here my friends we talk about the news of the world of Games. A cut-throat world. A game eat game world. In fact, it’s much like the real world only there is about 100 times the possibility for awesome and guns with chainsaws attached to them… ENOUGH TALK! What happened in the virtual world last week?
Yeah I’m aware it’s not actually Monday but there was a bit of a mix-up our end and we essentially forgot to post the videos for our Video Mondaily, even though we actually already had them uploaded and sorted on Youtube. Not our finest moment… Well as Tychus Findlay says “Hell it’s about time…” Anyway, this week you can enjoy me an Tim playing some Starcraft 2 custom maps on Battle.net with some measure of success, believe it or not. We have a laugh and we kick some ass and take some names. You may have noticed as well that we are starting a new format with our videos where we intend to have our faces in a corner while we play our games. I haven’t done any on my own yet but you will be seeing much more of Tim and me from now on! Anyway, we’ve already got quite a few customs done so I’d suggest you either hit the Read More button and check them out below, or you can go here to the playlist on our Youtube channel.
It is unfortunate that I left at the most inopportune moment for a holiday… I left two weeks ago right in the middle of E3 and thus I missed out on most of what was going on AND I wasn’t able to post anything about it. I mean I also wasn’t here for last week’s news but that seems less important in comparison to learning about E3. However I am back now and I will once again dispense wisdom and knowledge to the masses every Sunday (or thereabouts) in the form of news of the world of video games! I might even summon the courage to look back a couple of weeks and sift through all the various updates and exciting things from E3 to give you our own highlights of this years expo… But that is just as possible to not happen, we will have to wait and see. It’s an interesting point as well that with the massive frenzy of news that was E3 the video game world has quietened down a little bit recently as they try and take a few deep breaths to steady themselves. I can understand really, the build-up to E3 followed by the massive out-pouring of news… Well I’m surprised there’s really any news at all already! But let’s see what’s been going on shall we?
It is that time of week where once again I delve into the grim and gritty business of video game news. It’s a cut-throat world out there, a game eat game world. A world in which only the fittest and most awesome games survive. And Call of Duty of course (OOoooh! ZING!). But seriously, it’s not really that bad (well not for everyone) and we’ve got some pretty interesting bits and pieces of news to regale you with today. Also I want to make it clear that the above video is indeed sort of relevant to this post as you shall find out later (if you read through this!) So, what’s new Gamers?
Okay so having missed two Endweek Newses in a row probably tells you that this post is going to be a long one (even if the title doesn’t). So allow me to say that right now no one is more irritated than me at my sloppy handling of the news recently, this one is both three weeks late and I even managed to miss posting it yesterday. Not very professional… However I am pleased to follow that up by saying:  “Thank you everyone! You’ve been very patient but we should now, at long last, be able to return to standard operating procedure now!” That’s right folks, the shroud of exams is now finally passed and me and Tim are free to return to active service! The alcohol has been flowing and everything is once more right with the world! As of now we should be able to return to the excellent and not at all lazy standard of service with which you should be accustomed to from MMGaming! Huzzah! So what has been going on in the world of video games recently? (By the way it’s worth noting that this particular news post does cover news from all the past three weeks so is REALLY long)
Why, ’tis Monday dear friends and as we all know that means that it is time for another bout of MMGaming related tomfoolery in whatever game we can find. This week’s videos feature this weekend’s open beta of Diablo 3 and the welcome return of ThatForrow. Actually, this allows (cunningly) me to welcome Gary aboard the MMGaming team, with college nearly done he has decided to try his hand at writing for us, so we shall see how that goes as well!
