Our Thoughts On: Stacking

Stacking, a puzzle/adventure game developed by Double Fine Productions was initially released on XBLA and PSN over a year ago but was only as recently as March released on PC. Tim bought the game in the Steam Summer Sale, which continues to go around making everyone spend lots of money, and has provided us with a review! This is not, however, any ordinary review. For this is the first video in Tim’s new video series: My Thoughts On. Tim will from now on mostly be providing video content for MMGaming and less written work and as such his reviews will from now on be done in video form. We do have our standard rating but this time our rambling thoughts and opinions come at you in the form of sound and not text! Hoorah!

Endweek News – Release Date City, Colour Me Intrigued and Videos

Release Date City Just one release date for you this week. Developers Ronimo Games have announced that sometime in the next month the successful MOBA, fresh from XBLA and PSN, Awesomenauts will be getting a PC release version on Steam. There is not definite release date yet, but saying “this month” is close enough in my estimation. Also for those of you who own a Mac there is actually a Mac version in progress as well, so you’ll actually be able to try this one!

Endweek News – Diablo patches, Updates and Release Dates and not really very much happening

It is unfortunate that I left at the most inopportune moment for a holiday… I left two weeks ago right in the middle of E3 and thus I missed out on most of what was going on AND I wasn’t able to post anything about it. I mean I also wasn’t here for last week’s news but that seems less important in comparison to learning about E3. However I am back now and I will once again dispense wisdom and knowledge to the masses every Sunday (or thereabouts) in the form of news of the world of video games! I might even summon the courage to look back a couple of weeks and sift through all the various updates and exciting things from E3 to give you our own highlights of this years expo… But that is just as possible to not happen, we will have to wait and see. It’s an interesting point as well that with the massive frenzy of news that was E3 the video game world has quietened down a little bit recently as they try and take a few deep breaths to steady themselves. I can understand really, the build-up to E3 followed by the massive out-pouring of news… Well I’m surprised there’s really any news at all already! But let’s see what’s been going on shall we?

Endweek News (unfortunately late) – Much releases and trailers, some early 0x10c screenshots, a new Borderlands character and some Bullshit Excuses

A number of you might have noticed the conspicuous absence of any Midweek News this past week. Well I fear those sharp-eyed amongst you to have spotted that will probably spot similar things again over the coming weeks due to a number of excuses that we at MMGaming have. Very good excuses actually, I’ll have you know! We can’t spend all our time playing games and talking about them… Ye gods! What the hell am I saying?!? Levity aside, it’s actually true. Nick and Josh both have commitments outside of the world of gaming which make the time they can spend on MMGaming fairly limited and me and Tim have now, once again, entered that foul time period known to all in University… Yes my friends we are once again preparing for exams and Tim at least won’t be posting AT ALL while doing so. Coincidentally we both finish on the 14th of May so you should see a return to normal around then.

Endweek News – Gods and Kings, Mass Effect 3 gets some delicious DLC, Assassins Creed 3 shenanigans and Relationships are Tricky…

I write this news post in the early hours of the morning as it was meant to be up yesterday. I do promise that I will try and be more punctual about these but the end of lectures and classes at University have put me in a holiday/lazy mood. Which when combined with my inherent laziness is difficult to overcome. However, let’s crack on and do the news from the last couple of days. What is going on in the gaming world?

Assassin’s Creed 3 – Console FTW

I don’t know how many of you agree with me, but for me Assassin’s Creed has always been a game designed for consoles. I’ve had every previous instalment on the Xbox 360 and I intend to get number 3 on the 360. While this may not interest you, what should is that apparently the team at Ubisoft agree with me! Well, I say that… What they actually said was that they “love PC” but they won’t be spending much time on optimising the game for keyboard and mouse. So if you insist on buying the PC version you may also have to invest in a controller which will plug into the PC. Unlucky, mouse fans!
