MMGaming Game Awards 2017

I think that an awards post for each year is a great idea. Having said that I also think that some awarding bodies are dumb as hell. Like doing awards for a year near the start of the year for instance. Well, I wanted to make doubly sure that 2017 was over before posting this year’s MMGaming Awards, which is why it’s getting posted after the mid-point of 2018… Are you buying this…?

Grand Theft Auto V review – At least we don’t have to go bowling…

What is there to say about Grand Theft Auto 5, by Rockstar Games, which has not been said already? Its release was a record-breaking one, making so much money so extremely quickly that the comparison to the Avengers movie seems particularly apt, making well over $1 billion which is an insane figure no matter which way you slice it. According to Wikipedia the game’s sales figures are only topped by the truly ridiculous giants of games like Minecraft and Tetris. It’s a game which received wide-spread acclaim and approval, pretty much all of it entirely deserving. As such, writing a review for it feels more than a little tricky considering that I’m just going to be adding more praise on top of an already too-big mountain of praise. It feels like the exact opposite situation of the “pissing-into-a-sea-of-piss” metaphor.

The MMGaming Awards – 2013

This is a post which usually comes around the first week of January, however I personally decided to postpone it for a little longer because there was one game which I had yet to play but knew I would be playing relatively soon. It took a bit longer than expected to finally get around to playing said game, but it was worth it because it does factor rather massively into the running of this year’s MMGaming Game Awards. As always, people are now raising eyes and faces to the sky, hearts in mouths and stomachs where the heart used to be, ready to hear what are surely the most prestigious and most awaited awards every year. Despite the late arrival of the MMGaming Game Awards, everyone from the smallest to the biggest of devs knows that it is big and important and they were all willing to wait as long as necessary with the hopes of winning one of the awards. Anyway, it is now time to get down to business and (defeat the hun) give our opinions on some of the best and brightest of the good year 2013. Let’s get to it!

Max Payne 3 trailer

A second trailer has come our way from Rockstar Games for upcoming Max Payne 3. This particular trailer features a lot of what appears to be in-game footage and a serious voice-over explaining in a serious tone just how serious this serious situation is. For serious! Why so serious? *Cough* Anyway, yes check it out after the jump!

Max Payne 3 Release Date

Rockstar have apparently put an official release date down for Max Payne 3 and have again changed the date of the release of the PC version. For real this time. After delays (the last of which I genuinely foretold back in my introspection on 2012) and set-backs and general faffing about we now can finally tell you that Max Payne will be coming to consoles on the 15th of May in North America and the 18th of May in Europe. It will then be coming to PCs a little later on the 29th of May. Let’s hope that’s the last of the faffing…

Max Payne 3 Delayed

Max Payne 3 has been delayed (as I say in the title) until sometime in May this year. This news has come out after, apparently, Take-Two realised that they weren’t going to make nearly as much money this year as they thought they would. Why is irrelevant in my opinion, especially when it comes to stuff like “fiscal years” and “revenue”. Basically, the game is coming out a bit later this year than was previously expected. Can I just say right now by the way… I FUCKING CALLED IT!! Someone get me a medal!!!

Trailer City!

I am going to go ahead and assume you guys have already heard about this, and probably have seen it as well. But hey, we wouldn’t be a gaming website if we didn’t make a post about the brand new trailer for Grand Theft Auto V. Which looks pretty similar to the last GTA anyway… Ah well, Rockstar are sticking with what they do best here. Could be a laugh, and I’m willing to bet all the fans are already drooling! Anyway, link to the trailer after the jump!
