Video Mondaily – Sir, You Are Being Hunted

Sir, You Are Being Hunted is a first person shooter set in a randomly generated British-style country full of forests, small villages, roads and all the sort of quintessential “British” rural necessities (or at least I believe that is what they were aiming for). Oh, plus there’s robots. The game is based around an alternate dimension sort-of-thing that the player has been teleported to in which you are the only human and steam-punk robots have taken over and are now trying to relocate your head from your shoulders. Plus they have top-hats, so they can’t be that bad.

Video Mondaily – The End of a Series

Well folks, it’s been a long and piss-fuelled journey. But finally, MMGaming has reached the end of Amnesia: The Dark Descent. To get here we braved monsters, the shadow, Alexander, monsters, computer crashes, monsters, a switch in player and did I mention monsters? It also is actually one of the few games we’ve completed in a series so huzzah for that! We hope you’ve enjoyed the series and we would love it if you checked out all the videos in our lovely playlist. We’d love it even more if you gave them a thumb, maybe a comment and if you like we really appreciate any subscribers. Don’t worry though dear friends, this is not the end. Tis an end, but not the end. We will have more videos and more series and (unfortunately for me and Tim) more scary game as well. We hope you will stick around for all of them. For now though, Seb out!

Anna review – At least she tried

A while back I made an attempt to play through the indie horror game Anna by Dreampainters. I even made three short videos of me playing, trying to show off the game which I believed would be quite good. These three videos, which show about an hour of maybe an hour and a quarter of play-time, got me about a third into the game, that is if this walkthrough is to believed. I have however since stopped playing because despite a sound premise and what could have been an awesome idea for a game, Anna was pretty damn far from Awesome. The idea behind Anna was indeed a sound one, a puzzle/horror game where you would explore small environments solving the puzzles provided to get to the next stage, meanwhile there would be a number of creepy and scary things which could occur at any time completely randomly. It sounded a lot like a less predictable Amnesia. I mean Amnesia was scary, but eventually you do learn that if you just hide for long enough every monster does disappear. In a game where, monster encounters say, could happen at any time with no forewarning then suddenly you are playing a very different game. Unfortunately it did not work out quite as we all hoped. I understand that the game was actually fairly anticipated which must have made a lot of people rather disappointed with the actual product.

Video Mondaily – Ever danced with Amnesia by the pale moonlight?

I’ve normally avoided posting new videos from our Amnesia series so that we can entertain and enthral you with a variety of different and exciting games each week. However, other than a continuing abundance of Torchlight 2 videos we have nothing new for you this week. It is worth saying that all is not lost though, because this particular video is particularly spine-chilling and entertaining. “Why?” I hear you cry. Well, dear readers, this particular video involves me absolutely shitting a brick on more than one occasion… Definitely worth a watch if you ask me… Enjoy!

Video Mondaily – Seb Stepping In

Some of you might have been enjoying our Amnesia series with Tim getting the heeby-jeebies on an episodic basis. I know I was enjoying it, it’s not often I see him in quite so much fear of his life. However, for whatever reason he has been struggling with getting Amnesia to run properly on his computer along with his recording equipment and so, after a long and difficult struggle, he has given up. I personally thought this was pretty unfortunate as it is one of our longest series and I thought a good one at that. Well, fortune smiled upon us that day as my own saved game in Amnesia was actually at a point fairly close to where Tim’s final episode stopped. So with a great deal of trepidation and inwardly cursing myself for the idea I started to play the indie game from Frictional Entertainment again. So far it’s been dark and scary and very scary, but I am persevering and as luck (if you can call it luck) would have it, my computer DOESN’T crash when playing the game. So today’s video Mondaily features the proud “restart” of our Amnesia series! Check after the jump to enjoy!

MMGaming’s War on the Wall of Flesh!

A while ago I joined Tim in a game of Terraria on his world. Tim was actually a reasonable way into game and knows a hell of a lot about the game. Whereas I was a noob who had played about 15 minutes of the awesome game in total. Tim, despite being a boss, was however in need of a bit of help taking down an absolutely massive and difficult boss in the game called The Wall of Flesh. The Wall, once summoned covers the whole up and down distance of the map and you have to constantly move away from it while slowly whittling down it’s massive health store.
