State of the MMGaming Awards – Year Review *clap clap*

Welcome all to this year’s “MMGaming Awards” post. Although in reality the post this year is going to be rather different than our previous awards posts. For starters, beyond naming our Game of the Year (and maybe having a rant about the games industry) I won’t really be writing out any other awards. Instead, this year this post will function as something of a “State of MMGaming Address” where I will briefly go over where things stand on our site and lives in general. So, rather unfortunately, many game developers will be going home award-less tonight… Anyway, let’s just JUMP into it! *clap clap*

MMGaming PUBG Sillies Two – Okay, this is epic!

Another video of the MMGamers playing PUBG and clearly having LOADS OF FUN(TM) with it! As always it’s appreciated if you comment and let us know your thoughts about the videos or just whether you enjoyed it. Other than me (white subtitles) and Tim (green subtitles), this video also features Lami0s (teal subtitles) and Jambo (blue outlined subtitles) along with a few other friends of ours: Endon, JRoy and Bengazmo (all collectively subtitled with orange).

Video Mondaily – Tim and Seb Play Rome 2

As will hopefully become more and more clear over the coming year, I have a new computer, and this has sort of breathed a new lease of life into MMGaming. We are making plans, making videos, starting to stream with increasing regularity (both on Twitch and on Youtube) and, most importantly we are playing more games. Well, that latter may not be true for Tim, but it is certainly true for me! As I now have a computer which can actually run games properly I am determined to make the most of it and one of the things which I was quick to jump into was Rome 2, a game I was gifted on release but which could not run on my old laptop. Well, fear not folks, because after a long wait I have finally started my campaign, and have also started a multiplayer one with Tim as well! Check after the jump!

Tower Wars – Tower Defence/Attack (Video Impressions)

Tower Wars is Supervillain Games’ shot at making a multiplayer tower defence game, which recently seen its release on Steam for £6.99 (About $11).  Ingredients for this game: take your Tower Defence genre and add the multiplayer element, here we have the base of the game. Now add a dash of Real-Time Strategy, being careful not to add to much, finally add a very generous lump of Steam Punk style and leave to bake for 25 – 30 minutes… No but in all seriousness this is a very fresh and brand new type of game in our eyes.

Video Mondaily – 100th Video Special

It’s late in the evening of Monday night but hopefully the reason that today’s Video Mondaily and yesterday’s Endweek News took so long to appear will finally become clear to all of our readers. For the last week I have been working on putting together a Montage of all the best and funniest moments to have occurred in all of MMGaming’s official videos so that now, for our official 100th video we can present them to you, cut together and fully awesome! This is only the first part of the Montage with the second half appearing sometime on Wednesday! We hope you enjoy watching it and we hope you’ve enjoyed watching MMGaming’s first 100 Youtube videos! Let’s hope the next 100 are even better!

Video Mondaily – Tenebris Lake and MMGaming

Now this is an exciting Video Mondaily guys! This week you can watch me and Tim playing the first short segment of the Amnesia mod: Tenebris Lake. Don’t worry folks, while we are creating this new series in the middle of a several other series of videos I don’t want you to worry, you will still be able to see Tim finishing off Amnesia: The Dark Descent AS well as this new series of videos. Now if you’ve read our review of Amnesia you know it’s one of the scariest games in existence, well this mod is even more ridiculously scary and caused a fair amount of heavy breathing and a fair amount of sleep was lost. These videos are also rather special because we decided to challenge ourselves further by playing the game together: I was controlling the mouse and looking around and suchlike while Tim was on movement and using the lantern. You can expect laughs and fear in equal abundance! So sit back and enjoy the first three videos of MMGaming playing Tenebris Lake!

Halo: The Fallen

Today’s batch of awesome is yet another Halo fan-film. This time centred around some Marines (not even ODSTs) and featuring some rather impressively done Grunts, Jackels, Elites and Hunters it’s yet another nod of the head to the Halo fan community which has never stopped shy of impressing me. Actually the short movie has yet to be released and what I’ve watched was just the prologue. Despite that though, The Fallen is definitely impressive and very cool, despite the meagre budget of $200.

Song of the Week – Zelda Medley

Despite my dislike of all things Zelda related I have to admit that this particular medley of tunes from the series of games played masterfully on a violin by one Lindsey Stirling is pretty damned awesome. It may not be the dance or dubstep you expect from us to help prepare you for the weekend, but it certainly ties in with last week’s theme of calm but stirring music! So I suppose we should all break out our Master Swords and turn into wolves and ride some horses and Triforce this bitch up!

Far Cry 3 trailer teaser

The trailer for Far Cry 3 was leaked onto the interwebs a day early and you used to be able to view it here. Ubisoft have already pulled it down though, before even I could see it, so I know as little as you do about what it contained. I think though, the rest of us can cope without it for another day as it’s official release is tomorrow. If you desperately need some sort of Far Cry 3 fix you can always check out the teaser trailer for the trailer (Trailerception) which I will post after the jump. Also, can I just say… How creepy is the picture of that guy at the top?

Song of the Week – This is Aperture

It is time to get ready for the weekend (fun fun fun?) and in order to get us in the mood we have a new song of the week. This is Aperture, a Portal 2 themed version of This is Halloween from the Nightmare Before Christmas, created by one Harry101UK. This is Aperture? This is AWESOME more like! Because it is awesome! Not only is the original score by Danny Elfman completely fantastic, but this is also absolutely legendary! Let’s mess about with some Portals shall we?
