Dungeon Defenders Review

October 27, 2011 Leave a comment

I fear that I will be a disappointment to you guys here because I fear that this will not be a “proper” MMGaming review. In every MMGaming review so far we’ve always made sure to point out every niggardly detail that bothered us, even if it was that we didn’t like the colour of the main character’s cloak or whatever. We take the best games and always, ALWAYS make sure to poke a hole somewhere. However, no matter how hard I tried, I genuinely could NOT think up anything that I disliked about Dungeon Defenders.

Ezio Auditore in Soul Calibur V

Guess who’s gonna be in Soul Calibur V! Go on! Guess!

Oh… it says it in big letters at the top there? Well I’m gonna tell you again anyway!

Ezio Auditore will be one of the playable characters in the upcoming latest instalment to the Soul Calibur games. Hell that’s almost enough to make me actually consider buying the game. And I never buy fighting games… But this one has Ezio in it! Man… it’s a dilemma… You can check the trailer here after the jump.

Oh I’m sorry… You thought you’d won?

I mean, we’d never ACTUALLY thought “bald-guy-with-a-cape” could possibly have bested Ezio. The trailer only cut of where it did to add suspense and drama. But really it was a foregone conclusion. But hey! Now we get to find out! Ubisoft have released an extended edition of the Assassin’s Creed Revelations cinematic trailer which adds some extra awesome for everyone! Check it here after the jump!

Achron: Full of Wibbly-Wobbly, Timey-Wimey Stuff

September 12, 2011 1 comment

Ok, let me get one thing clear off the bat. I am well aware that some people will skip straight to the bottom to get the “short version” and just read the rating but I am going to assume that if you have read this far, you are going to read the rest of the review! The other thing I want to say is that I liked Achron, but in what is fast becoming my fashion I will likely spend a large amount of time in this review poking holes in it. Don’t be discouraged though! For I have broken my spree of “games I didn’t really like” in Achron because I DID like it. Read more…

League of Legends Review

September 7, 2011 2 comments

League of Legends is a free online multi-player RTS (real-time strategy). Player are formed into two teams, either a 3v3 or 5v5 depending on the map. You control 1 of (currently as of August 2011) 81 champions and each champion is different in their own way. Different spells, different attributes, different strengths, each champion can contribute to the team in their own way. This makes the variations of a team numerous and will ensure you will encounter something new every game as no two players are ever the same. All champions level up throughout each game, starting at 1 (obviously) and maxing to 18, at every level you can improve a spell making it stronger and more effective. To gain experience to level up you have to go about killing minions and champions. Games can last from 20min to an average of 45min. Since this is online there are patches coming out all the time updating the game; bringing new characters, items and soon a new map and game type. As stated before you are in teams of 3 or 5 and teamwork is essential if you want to win, and should you ever have to fight missing a person it gets even more… challenging. Read more…
