The MMGaming Awards – 2013

This is a post which usually comes around the first week of January, however I personally decided to postpone it for a little longer because there was one game which I had yet to play but knew I would be playing relatively soon. It took a bit longer than expected to finally get around to playing said game, but it was worth it because it does factor rather massively into the running of this year’s MMGaming Game Awards. As always, people are now raising eyes and faces to the sky, hearts in mouths and stomachs where the heart used to be, ready to hear what are surely the most prestigious and most awaited awards every year. Despite the late arrival of the MMGaming Game Awards, everyone from the smallest to the biggest of devs knows that it is big and important and they were all willing to wait as long as necessary with the hopes of winning one of the awards. Anyway, it is now time to get down to business and (defeat the hun) give our opinions on some of the best and brightest of the good year 2013. Let’s get to it!

Overhaul

Hey folks! You may be wondering why things have been slowing down of late in regards to reviews/news and other shenanigans and I just want to inform ya’ll to our plans. While we have been receiving steady viewership (thanks guys!) we are looking to overhaul the site into something more consistent and high quality. With that in mind there is going to be a lot of changes coming in over the next couple of weeks and as a result posts will be sparse. Yet have no fear! Things are on the up and we hope it will stay that way. Keep an eye on us and you won’t be disappointed! Regards, The MMGaming Team   EDIT: We are also considering changing to a Joomla layout (from the current WordPress layout) which might result in some downtime while we mess around to get it working. If the site isn’t up for any reason just assume that we are working on it and come back in a couple of hours!

What Do You Want From MMGaming?

Hey readers, we love writing for you – its true. But we want to know what you’d like to see on the site! Yes we can see what people look at using the stats wordpress provides but it isn’t as effective as asking you directly. So please, if you could find the time to comment and say what you would like to see from us it would be great. Polls? More reviews? More diaries? Video reviews? More youtube stuff? Guides? Let us know! If you have more private or detailed things you would like us to take a look at please email myself at tim.mottram@mmgaming.net or our contact email contact@mmgaming.net

The MMGaming Awards

A great many games have won awards over the past month as 2011 draws to a close. But now it is the moment they have surely all been waiting for. The moment for the most prestigious awards ever created in the world of video games… Yes dear friends… I am talking of The MMGaming Awards! Let us get right down to business!

Now What?

Well, I said I would announce the winners to our Sword of the Stars Competition over the weekend. Unfortunately several wild distractions appeared in the form of coursework. The coursework then used “Due Date Monday” and it was super effective. So I couldn’t get round to announcing who had won the competition.

Rock, Paper, Shotgun… You Lads…

All of you need to click on this link here to Rock, Paper, Shotgun! Right fucking now! “Why?” you ask. It’s simple. Those bros over at Rock, Paper, Shotgun are running a completely free give-away of over 12,000 keys for the Beta of Star Wars The Old Republic. True the keys will only last for a weekend. But that’s a whole fucking weekend in which you could be using a lightsaber, the force and blasters on whatever the fuck the Star Wars Universe can throw at you (link after the jump).

Competition Winners

Well it’s been a while now and so we are closing up shop on our Sword of the Stars Competition. Thanks to everyone who entered by Liking, Subscribing or Following our various feeds! We’ll be announcing the winners over the weekend and will be contacting those lucky five of you with a code for Sword of the Stars! Keep an eye on your in-boxes chaps!

Sword of the Stars Competition Update!

So if you like games you are probably interested in the competition we are running right now (see original details here) to win a code for Sword of the Stars Complete Edition. Also if you are a Sword of the Stars fan you might well be getting Sword of the Stars 2 (when Kerberos fix all the problems they’ve been having, details here). However, if you were one of the oens who pre-ordered Sword of the Stars 2 then you are probably aware that as part of the apology for messing up the release Kerberos are giving away more copies for the original Sword of the Stars. Naturally this does scupper our competition some! However, we shall muddle on!
