Capcom have announced a release date for their upcoming fantasy RPG Dragon’s Dogma. Which looks an awful lot like Dragon Age and has a similar name to boot! Yeah, I don’t really know much about it. I can only tell you right now that it’s due out on May 22nd in North America and a few days later on the 25th in Europe.
In fairness I’m not the only one who doesn’t know much about this game, in fact I only heard of it briefly when it was announced and now I’ve seen it’s relatively cool trailer which you can see after the jump.
However, despite not much hype Dragon’s Dogma might do quite well. “Why?” you ask. Simple, by buying it you are granted access to the demo for Resident Evil 6 which is due out later this year and has a vast following of fans. It reminds me of Crackdown from a few years ago actually which I only heard of because it gave access to the Halo 3 Beta. Seems a shame that a game would be bought not on the merits of the game itself, but I suppose that isn’t what bothers the companies.
