Space Pirates and Zombies: Epic name, average game

When you’re asked to review a game called ‘Space Pirates and Zombies’ you can’t help but get a little excited. I mean, Space Pirates are awesome enough alone without adding the additional ‘wow factor’ of zombies. Unfortunately not even the addition of ninja sharks with lasers attached riding the bear cavalry into a black hole […]

Bastion Review

I waited until I had completed Bastion before giving you my thoughts. Not because I was undecided on it but rather I absolutely loved the game. I don’t want to spoil it though. I can’t. It is just a delight to play, to uncover the world yourself and engulf yourself in the story.

Stellar Impact: An Unknown Love-Child

So it would appear that League of Legend’s fame has managed to allow it to sleep around without thinking of the consequences. Now however, after a one time hook-up with the slightly less famous Eve: Online, the consequences of LoL’s lifestyle have come full circle. The resulting love child of the unlikely coupling was the […]

Ex Vitro: No Metroids here!

I should first of all point out that this is simply my first impressions of the game having played a demo version. The game is still being developed so this will not be a 100% accurate representation of the game. Pretty close though…

Hammerfight: Never Have I Ever… Given up in about 10 seconds flat… drink

Okay so maybe I exaggerate a teeny-tiny bit in the title. I swear I gave the final game (well last of the original’s anyway) in the Humble Indie Bundle a good go. Honest, guv! Created by Kranx productions in Hammerfight you control a tiny, hovering… thing… let’s call it a “ship”. And to this ship […]

Crayon Physics Deluxe: What Sorcery is this?!?!

The fourth game from the third Humble Indie Bundle goes by the name of Crayon Physics Deluxe and was created by the company Kloonigames. In the game you draw objects, ropes, lines all in a child’s crayons and then when finished they all start to react as if normal physics was acting on them with […]

E.Y.E Divine Cybermancy Impressions

Greetings minions. Aren’t you proud of me? I finished the impressions on E.Y.E. Divine Cybermancy! So, what do I think? Well the story from what I can tell (an encouraging start) is that you are part of a cult called Secreta and are currently in conflict with another cult called the Jians although […]

Blipskrieg: Because the fastest solution is most likely the best one (Occam’s Racer)

A man called Silius Italicus once said “In war we must be speedy”. I have no idea who this man was or what he did as a day job (aside from his quotation writing tendencies). But whatever the case, he certainly nailed this game on the head.

The Stanley Parable.

Folks I want to share with you possibly one of the most interesting games of this year. The thing is though, i can’t tell you what it is because that would spoil it. All you need to know is that it is called The Stanley Parable and is a mod built from the source engine. […]

Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet

Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet… The name says it all really. The game is set on an Alien world where you (an Alien, believe it or not) see an evil magical corruption thing plunge into your world’s star. The star becomes a corrupted monstrosity in the sky and shoots out spores of evil twistedness. One of […]
