MMGaming Top 50 Games – 40 to 31

Inspired by the PC Gamer Top 100 games list here is the continuation of own list of the Best Video Games Ever. MMGaming’s official Top 50 Games.

Just a quick reminder of the rules and requirements for a game to make it into the MMG Top 50: first of all, the games in our Top 50 will naturally only include those games which one of us (me or Tim) have played. They will also include games from literally any platform we’ve had access to across the ages.

In order to belong on the list the game had to more-or-less fit two separate criteria: the games would have to be something which blew us away at the time of playing it, such that it still provokes an emotional response now, but also a game which we think is still very worth playing today. As such, some games which we are trying to provide a list of games which were both brilliant at the time but also have not aged like hot garbage and so their excellence can only be explained through the lens of nostalgia. Hitman Absolution review – If you were a real Assassin you’d SUCK!

Hitman Absolution Wallpaper

Hitman is a game with what I believe is a great pedigree.  The most recent game before Absolution, Blood Money, was praised and lauded by just about everyone so with that sort of background Absolution has both a lot to live up to and a lot of fans to please. Made by IO Interactive you play as the bald but awesome assassin Agent 47 (awesome because he is always SUITED UP!). The game plays out as a 3rd person shooter with a heavy focus on stealth, but it still manages to remain an intense and convincing shooter.

In this game Agent 47 at the start is sent after his own handler who has, I understand in the previous game, betrayed the agency that 47 works for and so 47 is sent to kill her. After the intro mission in which you do indeed kill Diana the game follows Agent 47 as he tries to protect a young girl who, for some reason explained later in the game, everyone wants their hands on. As the primary people who want Victoria are the very same agency 47 works for he has to go against his boss and his own company and goes rogue to protect the girl.

Video Mondaily – Dance with your Dead

Hey folks! Remember us? Well we are not actually dead, despite our most recent post  being well over a week ago and having only posted three times across January. What can I say, we were all enjoying the festive spirit of Winter-een-Mas with much gaming and not so much of the writing about gaming…

Well, I will say that we are actually still very much alive and kicking and we will be kicking back into gear soon, this week hopefully! Continue reading

Hitman Absolution Trailer

As if yesterday didn’t give us ENOUGH awesome to last us until Christmas I’ve found and seen some more trailers for other games that look absolutely amazing. The first of these is the new Trailer for Hitman Absolution.

Having never played a Hitman game I think that when this comes out next year it will be the perfect opportunity to try and play with an assassin other than Ezio Auditore. Naturally though, nobody, even this grimly, awesome assassin in Hitman will be able to steal my heart from that dashing Italian rogue… The trailer is still pretty damn cool though!
