Our Thoughts On: Stacking

Stacking, a puzzle/adventure game developed by Double Fine Productions was initially released on XBLA and PSN over a year ago but was only as recently as March released on PC. Tim bought the game in the Steam Summer Sale, which continues to go around making everyone spend lots of money, and has provided us with a review!

This is not, however, any ordinary review. For this is the first video in Tim’s new video series: My Thoughts On. Tim will from now on mostly be providing video content for MMGaming and less written work and as such his reviews will from now on be done in video form. We do have our standard rating but this time our rambling thoughts and opinions come at you in the form of sound and not text! Hoorah!

THQ’s Warhammer 40K: Dark Millenium is No Longer an MMO

As the title suggests, THQ have decided to change the focus of Dark Millenium Online from MMO to an “”immersive single player and online multiplayer experience”. So while there will still be multiplayer elements to the game it seems that more of the game will focus on the singleplayer side of it.

This is, however, a step up from earlier this year when there were rumours of THQ going bankrupt and of the game being cancelled completely. Continue reading

Darksiders 2 cinematic trailer stars Death

Darksiders, hack-and-slasher by Vigil Games and THQ is a game in which you control one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse returns this year with Darksiders 2. While in the first game you controlled War and went about fighting the forces of both Heaven and Hell, Darksiders 2 sees you take control of Death.

While it’s true I’ve never played the first one I have to say the premise is pretty damn cool (and looks pretty fucking cool as well). Plus the new cinematic trailer is absolutely awesome! Check it out after the jump.

THQ Denies Financial Troubles

Yesterday Kevin Dent, the chairman of the IGDA Mobile SIG (International Game Developer’s Association mobile games devision, in case like me you need to look it up) apparently alleged on his twitter feed that video gaming giant THQ was in financial trouble and as such would not be producing it’s 2014 games line-up. The thing most people were concerned about here was the upcoming Warhammer 40K MMO: Dark Millennium Online.
