So it turns out that the teaser website Baldursgate.com was in fact teasing for an Enhanced Edition of Baldur’s Gate. The developers, Beamdog have said that this won’t just be a simple “repackaging” of the original game but that they will be adding in new and original content as well as a big update to the Infinity Engine with “a variety of modern improvements”.
Not only that, but Beamdog will also be doing the same with Baldur’s gate II: Shadows of Amn.
So at some point this year we can expect two classic fantasy games to be re-released with new content and lovely, shiny, new graphics! If you want to keep an eye on updates yourself you should head over to the official website.
