Video Mondaily – Jumping on Command

A long time ago in a flat far, far away… (Also known as a few days ago in a flat in Edinburgh via an online messenger).

Tim: “Hey Seb, check out The Rake – Back to Asylum. Might be fun or make a good video.”

Seb: “What is it? What makes you say that?”

Tim: “It’s an Indie Horror game, check it out!”

Seb: “Uh… Sure! What’s the worst that could happen!?”

Well, I have demonstrated before, I have been known to do things on command and as you may have noticed my attitude towards playing The Rake by Mike R. was pretty gung-ho. After all… What could POSSIBLY go wrong with playing the free indie horror?

Well the answer to that is: “quite a lot actually” and if you are interested in watching me shrieking like a little girl in absolute terror then you ought to check out after the jump!

Video Mondaily – The Happy Wheels Bandwagon

You may have noticed that all across the internet everyone is all in a tizzy about the relatively new and free browser game Happy Wheels. And because of it’s jump into the public consciousness a lot of Youtubers have made videos of themselves dying rather spectacularly again and again in the courses and maps of the ridiculous game.

Well, at MMGaming we do jump on some bandwagons and so ThatForrow has managed to come up with two pretty awesome Happy Wheels videos! Check them out after the jump!

Our Thoughts On – Super Monday Night Combat

Today’s review comes in the form of another My Thoughts On from Tim and this time he’s reviewing Super Monday Night Combat or Super MNC. This is another MOBA similar to Smite in that it occurs from a third person perspective but again has a few unique things which set it apart from the rest. The game comes to us from Uber Entertainment and looks pretty entertaining. But you’ll have to look at the video to find out our thoughts on the game. It is also available for free download and play here.

Honestly I’d like to say more but I, like a great many people I imagine, am watching my recorded version of the Olympic Opening Ceremony so I” just let the video do the talking for me! Check it out after the jump!

Portal 2, Peer Review – Review

Before we get started I want to make it absolutely clear that I am fully aware that my choice of title is both cumbersome and difficult, but you know what? I am reviewing the Portal 2 DLC called Peer Review and so I think it only fair that I state that right out. No matter how many times it may make me wish I had the imagination to come up with something better. Peer Review was the first major batch of downloadable content for Portal 2 and it was released last October, so like our Portal 2 review this review of the DLC comes at you a bit late. The content is also completely free, so honestly if you own Portal 2 it’s something of a no-brainer, but let’s go ahead and review it anyway!

Endweek News – Diablo patches, Updates and Release Dates and not really very much happening

It is unfortunate that I left at the most inopportune moment for a holiday… I left two weeks ago right in the middle of E3 and thus I missed out on most of what was going on AND I wasn’t able to post anything about it. I mean I also wasn’t here for last week’s news but that seems less important in comparison to learning about E3. However I am back now and I will once again dispense wisdom and knowledge to the masses every Sunday (or thereabouts) in the form of news of the world of video games! I might even summon the courage to look back a couple of weeks and sift through all the various updates and exciting things from E3 to give you our own highlights of this years expo… But that is just as possible to not happen, we will have to wait and see.

It’s an interesting point as well that with the massive frenzy of news that was E3 the video game world has quietened down a little bit recently as they try and take a few deep breaths to steady themselves. I can understand really, the build-up to E3 followed by the massive out-pouring of news… Well I’m surprised there’s really any news at all already! But let’s see what’s been going on shall we?

Endweek News (unfortunately late) – Much releases and trailers, some early 0x10c screenshots, a new Borderlands character and some Bullshit Excuses

A number of you might have noticed the conspicuous absence of any Midweek News this past week. Well I fear those sharp-eyed amongst you to have spotted that will probably spot similar things again over the coming weeks due to a number of excuses that we at MMGaming have. Very good excuses actually, I’ll have you know! We can’t spend all our time playing games and talking about them…

Ye gods! What the hell am I saying?!?

Levity aside, it’s actually true. Nick and Josh both have commitments outside of the world of gaming which make the time they can spend on MMGaming fairly limited and me and Tim have now, once again, entered that foul time period known to all in University… Yes my friends we are once again preparing for exams and Tim at least won’t be posting AT ALL while doing so. Coincidentally we both finish on the 14th of May so you should see a return to normal around then.

Rock, Paper, Shotgun… You Lads…

All of you need to click on this link here to Rock, Paper, Shotgun! Right fucking now!

“Why?” you ask. It’s simple. Those bros over at Rock, Paper, Shotgun are running a completely free give-away of over 12,000 keys for the Beta of Star Wars The Old Republic. True the keys will only last for a weekend. But that’s a whole fucking weekend in which you could be using a lightsaber, the force and blasters on whatever the fuck the Star Wars Universe can throw at you (link after the jump).
