Minecraft Story Mode review – Telling tales about Telltale

Minecraft Story Mode wallpaperSo, a Telltale Game… Excellent! I get to tell you that Telltale have made another game along the formula of “a point-and-click, character-based, interactive-story with rapid decisions made during dialogue, minor puzzle-solving, and several major decisions made over the course of the game which will have supposedly far-reaching consequences within the scope of the game?” *Gasping inhale* I get to repeat all of that, tell you my few niggles about the game and then recommend it to you… Again…

EXCEPT this isn’t the case. While the game does stick to the forumla, I can rather gleefully inform you that Minecraft Story Mode, is utterly fucking DREADFUL! Oooh, I’ve been looking forward to this happening!

StarMade Preview – SPAAAAAACE!!

Ah.  It’s good to be back in the saddle and today I bring news of my week playing the Steam Greenlight hopeful StarMade.  “But what IS StarMade?  Can I spread it on my toast?” you may ask in a curiously attractive, yet nasal voice.  Well, beautiful internet person, let me tell (and show) you all about it after the obligatory bump.

Endweek News – Diablo patches, Updates and Release Dates and not really very much happening

It is unfortunate that I left at the most inopportune moment for a holiday… I left two weeks ago right in the middle of E3 and thus I missed out on most of what was going on AND I wasn’t able to post anything about it. I mean I also wasn’t here for last week’s news but that seems less important in comparison to learning about E3. However I am back now and I will once again dispense wisdom and knowledge to the masses every Sunday (or thereabouts) in the form of news of the world of video games! I might even summon the courage to look back a couple of weeks and sift through all the various updates and exciting things from E3 to give you our own highlights of this years expo… But that is just as possible to not happen, we will have to wait and see.

It’s an interesting point as well that with the massive frenzy of news that was E3 the video game world has quietened down a little bit recently as they try and take a few deep breaths to steady themselves. I can understand really, the build-up to E3 followed by the massive out-pouring of news… Well I’m surprised there’s really any news at all already! But let’s see what’s been going on shall we?

Video Mondaily – Seb shows off his Minecraft

As we had my thoughts on Minecraft in review form a few days ago it seems only fitting that this weeks Video Mondaily be on Minecraft. More to the point it’s all about MY Minecraft. That’s right! This isn’t one of those “how to survive in Minecraft” videos which have been done to death ever since BlueXephos became so famous off of theirs (and I do think that’s probably their biggest claim to fame). No, what my video is about is simply showing you what I’ve done in Minecraft. Because it’s about reminding you lot of the most important part of Minecraft: the fact that YOU choose what YOU want to do. I have to say though… It feels weird to actually have a message to get across here instead of just showing off an awesome game… Huh…

What next eh? You’ll be telling me that next I’m going to start being able to predict what happens in the world of gaming… Oh that’s already happened has it? Twice? Well… How about that…

Minecraft Review – LEGO for Adults without the pain of stepping on the bricks

Well Minecraft is, as of last November, officially a game and as such it seems that other gaming websites used this as the perfect opportunity to review it. We did consider jumping on this particular bandwagon but don’t say MMGaming is no different to other Gaming websites because we are only doing it now… With absolutely no reason to whatsoever. Okay honestly we did mean to post this review way-back-when Minecraft first became a game but due to a combination of laziness and no other opportunity to do so we are only posting it now. So welcome to world’s laziest review of the world’s biggest “Indie” game Minecraft. And those quotation marks are there because Mojang had, even prior to Minecraft’s “release”, sold over 4 million copies… which is more than a fair few big, mainstream games I could care to mention.
