Okay so having missed two Endweek Newses in a row probably tells you that this post is going to be a long one (even if the title doesn’t). So allow me to say that right now no one is more irritated than me at my sloppy handling of the news recently, this one is both three weeks late and I even managed to miss posting it yesterday. Not very professional… However I am pleased to follow that up by saying: “Thank you everyone! You’ve been very patient but we should now, at long last, be able to return to standard operating procedure now!” That’s right folks, the shroud of exams is now finally passed and me and Tim are free to return to active service! The alcohol has been flowing and everything is once more right with the world! As of now we should be able to return to the excellent and not at all lazy standard of service with which you should be accustomed to from MMGaming!
Huzzah!
So what has been going on in the world of video games recently? (By the way it’s worth noting that this particular news post does cover news from all the past three weeks so is REALLY long)
It’s All About Diablo 3
The biggest news of the past three weeks is most definitely the release of the long-awaited, top-down RPG by Blizzard. Yes folks, if you weren’t aware then you should be now because Diablo 3 was released on Tuesday the 15th of May this year, and so already a week ago. With 8,000 Midnight Launches and over 2,000,000 copies pre-ordered and shipped it’s safe to say that Blizzard have done unbelievably well out of this particular release. The sales of this game might well make them so rich that they can now afford to have a swimming pool built within the swimming pools outside of their mansions made of money.
However, despite the success of the game, the launch itself was a bit of a flop and had a great many people angry with the company, who have recently admitted that they messed up with the game’s release. First off the sheer number of players caused the servers to reach capacity very quickly and so a great many people either had to wait for long periods of time to get into the game or could not get in at all.
Blizzard originally had created a 40 second delay for logging in during the launch and then if the player was unable to log in they would recieve an Error 37 message and have to try again. As well as this occurring around the globe to thousands of would be players, a game breaking error (Error 3006) was discovered very early on which would lock out players from their Battle.net accounts and they would be unable to play the game at all.
While both of these issues have now been solved (especially with the initial Diablo 3 launch fever now dying down) the problems did make an awful lot of gamers very angry at the company. Blizzard have since said that they should have planned the release better, but honestly it seems like these days a release of a game like this will always have issues and problems. Something always goes wrong.
As well as all these problems with the launch the game has also seen several issues with Diablo 3 accounts being hacked and people having their items and gold stolen. Now supposedly by now Blizzard are over this issue and that the number of people who actually were hacked was “very small” but it’s still a major concern that such a big and powerful game could get so easily hacked and broken into so soon after release. Hopefully Blizz really do get this sorted quick. Honestly hacking a man’s MMO account ought to be a crime punishable by having your gaming thumbs removed…
Anyway, with this game out now and Tim having completed it already I think you can expect a review from him fairly soon!
Release Dates Galore!
Over the last two weeks several release dates have been announced, some for games and some for pieces of DLC. In order of release date from earliest to latest we have:
- The Binding Of Issac: Wrath of the Lamb DLC which will be available for download for $3 (or your local equivalent) from the 28th of May.
- Harley Quinn’s Revenge DLC for Batman: Arkham city will be available from the 29th of May, on all platforms I believe, and will probably cost 800 Microsoft points (or an equivalent amount)
- Following that we have the Game of Thrones RPG from Cyanide which will be released in the UK and Ireland on the 8th of June, a fair jump since it’s May 15th release date in North America.
- There’s a new Ubisoft Game in the works for PSN and XBLA, Babel Rising, which has a new release date of the 13th of June on XBLA and PSN, followed by the 14th on iOS and then the 27th on PC.
- And, hold onto your hats folks because the game which has one of the best trailers and the coolest premises, produced by Ubisoft, is actually coming out THIS year. That’s right! Dishonoured (the correct way to spell it) is actually slated for a 9th of October release in the US and a 12th of October release over here. So a game which suddenly leapt onto all of our radars only a short while ago will actually be coming out a lot sooner than I anticipated. I can’t wait!
- Another 12th of October release (good luck to them!) over here in Europe is 2K Games strategy game XCOM: Enemy Unknown which will release on Xbox, PC and PS3 at the same time. The game will also be releasing in the US on the 9th of October.
From Dust now playable in Chrome
That’s right folks, the title here says it all. As of last Wednesday (the 23rd of May) From Dust is now available for play in your Google Chrome browser. For the first week Ubisoft will be selling their masterpiece of a game for £7.99 and then after that bringing it up to £11.59 and, seeing as it costs £11.99 on Steam, that’s pretty good!
Now you’ll still need a fairly decent machine to run this game, the physics engine hasn’t been downgraded just because it’s in-browser, but if you are interested you should definitely head over here and check it out! Also check out our review of the original XBLA version of the game!
Guild Wars 2 Beta Weekend Delayed
It would appear that ArenaNet had a few technical difficulties with their previous Open Beta weekend and as it was more successful than they had expected. As such people were apparently experiencing issues during their gaming time and now, after running some stress-tests they are improving the hardware of the servers and data-centres of Guild Wars 2.
What this does mean is that it will be a little while longer until the next beta weekend event (or BWE2 as it is known) as ArenaNet upgrades and improves everything. How long hasn’t been announced yet, just as an official release date for the game hasn’t been announced yet. Sad times all round.
New Skyrim Update has Mounted Combat
Bethesda have announced that Patch 1.6 for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is due out soon and it will feature… Wait-for-it… Mounted… Combat!! Woooooo! Awesooome!
And not a lot else… Aww… Well no that’s not true, as usual they are working hard on the game and are including the standard plethora of bug fixes and will update all of the game’s fiddly bits. If you are interested you can check out here at Eurogamer for the full list. It’s worth saying right now that with my recent return home I will soon be continuing my epic Skyrim diary… You have time to preparfe yourselves for that particular piece of awesome…
Funcom’s The Secret World delayed
Funcom have said that their Modern Day MMO, The Secret World has been pushed back from the 19th of June to the 3rd of July due to “market reasons” which sounds to me like “we actually weren’t quite finished with this really important part of it yet”. This has also resulted in the Early Access period being pushed back to the 29th of June (for those who pre-ordered I believe).
Before the release there will be another two open beta-weekends (the third and fourth they have provided) between the 15th and 17th of June and between the 22nd and 24th of June. These weekends will introduce the Illuminati and Dragon starting areas (the Templar starting area having already been available) and then the Player versus Player combat of the game respectively. You will also get a shot at the Savage Coast area, and the Hell Raised dungeon from the third weekend on.
Aliens: Colonial Marines pushed back to 2013
Gearbox Software have announced that their FPS Aliens: Colonial Marines has once again been delayed and has been pushed back from a release date this October to the 12th of February 2013. This takes into account all versions on Xbox, PS3 and PC (no mention of the Wii-U though) and the release date is supposedly going to be global. Coinciding with their new release date they have released a new trailer for the game (which you can check out down the bottom with the other videos).
This has naturally pissed off the fans of the game who have been (well, apparently have been) looking forward to this game for years now. Gearbox’ boss Randy Pitchford did go on to answer to the community uproar (there’s a community for this?) blaming the early announcement of the game back in 2006. He went on to say:
“At the beginning of this effort a few years ago, as the business was in place to allow for the effort, everyone was excited. 20th Century Fox and Sega immediately shared the news with a press release that announced that Gearbox would be making a game in the franchise with these goals in mind. Later, the game was revealed with details and a title, Aliens: Colonial Marines, on the cover of Game Informer magazine. At that moment, we had finished our prototypes and were eager to test our promise against fans and then set real production in motion.
“We’ve remained true to our vision. We’ve been committed to it, through and through. We’ve always prioritized the goals we had for the game over any particular launch window. The game’s development has been invigorating and natural relative to our experience making games and the objectives for it. Because the game was ‘announced’ with that original press release, it might feel, to those of you who have been waiting for the game since then, that it has been in development a long time. In fact, with the release date now set, it turns out that the total development time we have spent creating Aliens: Colonial Marines is about the same length of time as we had spent creating the original Borderlands or the original Brothers in Arms – both games that we had waited to announce until we were much farther along in the development process.
“If you have had that feeling that you’ve been waiting a long time, then today should be a good day for you! We have an official, solid launch date for the game! We’re now at a point in development when we can see the end – we know what’s left to do and can sufficiently quantify it to be very confident in the schedule for the game’s completion and commercial release!”
I remain underwhelmed by any thoughts of this game. Aliens stopped impressed me a long time ago, so sue me.
Sony announces a F2P Shooter- Bullet Run
Sony has announced that they are publishing a new free-to-play, team-based shooter to release on PCs this summer. Bullet Run is being developed by ACONY Games and see’s you dropped into a parody reality TV show where you will duke it out with the other players of the world. The game also insists that you kill in style, probably using environments and the biggest combinations of explosions you can to rack up the most points (or at least judging by the above picture anyway).
The game also includes features which allow players to use kill-steals to power up a number of different abilities like healing or berserker mode (although honestly I’m not sure whether it’s the stealer of the stealee who gets the bonus). As well as this there’s a system for taunting and humiliating opponents which, when done successful, allows faster levelling. Plus there’s a Gears of War-esque active reload system.
The game includes over six maps which can carry 20 players at once and players can vastly customise their appearance, boosting what they own via microtransactions in the game. It sounds all right and the trailer below is pretty cool, so we might well be giving this one a look in folks!
Bungie is Back with Destiny
Hold onto your hats folks because the developer of Halo are back and their plans are big. Plus they are now working with the publishers Activision… Ah… Oh dear…
Anyway, let’s move past that initial hitch and talk about Destiny! Bungie’s plans are to create a new sci-fi first-person shooter in an MMO style. Which sounds interesting because as we all well know, Bungie know their way around big sci-fi Universes… The game will be released some time in 2013 and will then have four large expansion packs (called Comets) which will hit every other year until the year 2020 (jeez I can’t believe it’s only eight years until 2020…).
The game will initially be released on the Xbox 360 and the next generation Xbox but they will port it to the PS3 by 2014 and will consider PS4 and PC ports (hah! Wii…).
These details were actually leaked onto the internet (as well as the details of the deal) but Bungie confirmed them. They have also said that they are not yet ready to reveal anything yet and so will be re-revealing it some time soon. I wonder if Halo is about to be replaced by a new love…?
New Dead Space and Need for Speed by March 2013
Publisher EA have announced that they are working on having the next parts of the Need for Speed and Dead Space franchises on our shelves for March 2013. Going hand and hand with this is the interesting news that some plot details have leaked onto the internet about Dead Space 3, click here for the details first hand.
New DC Universe Online DLC Pack – With Luke Skywalker!
Entitled The Last Laugh a new big DLC pack is coming out for the Superhero MMO DC Universe Online. The add-on focuses mainly on adding more PvP bits and pieces to the game and is set to arrive to PC and PS3 in June. The game includes three new four-on-four PvP battles, all of which were dreamed up by the master of giggles the Joker himself, and a brand new two-phase battle of 16 versus 16 players who all try to take over the opposing team’s stronghold. You’ll also gain access to the legendary characters from the DC Universe itself: Kilowog the Green Lantern, and Amon Sur from the Sinestro Corps (both of whom I remember seeing in the movie!). Also, and possibly the least interesting part of this, there will be a new weapon called The Shield which will functions like a Captain America shield for bashing and hurling at foes.
The BEST part of this whole thing is that it will feature Luke Skywalk- I mean Mark Hamill doing his legendary Joker voice. You ask me why it’s legendary? Just trust me when I say he was the Joker in Arham Asylum and City and he was Lego Joker and I think in the cartoons as well. He’s as much the Joker as Heath Ledger is really. As well as him voicing the Joker the DLC will also see Arleen Sorkin voicing Harley Quinn as she did in Arkham Asylum.
Prototype 2 DLC packs
The first DLC for Prototype 2, the Colossal Mayhem pack, was released a few weeks ago on the 8th of May and another one,the Excessive Force pack ,will be releasing on the 29th. Both Packs cost 400 Microsoft points (or around $4.99 or equivalent) and give you access to a new gun, some new custom skins and some new multiplayer powers.
Ex-Bioshock devs reveal new game: Gone Home
A few members of the Bioshock production team recently broke off and formed their own smaller company The Fullbright Company. Composed of Steve Gaynor, a level designer who worked on BioShock 2 and BioShock Infinite, a programmer from 2K Marin Johnnemann Nordhagen and an editor/researcher: Karla Zimonja, The Fullbright Company have recently revealed their first game Gone Home.
The game will be a non-violent, first-person exploration game in which the player will explore and interact with the environment in order to further the story. Based around investigation and a story the game. The game is still very much unfinished and has a long way to go before reaching the finished product, but the company has released a few screenshots including the one at the top here and a pre-alpha video which you can see down the bottom.
Ain’t no Party like a Block Party!
In the spirit of the new Holiday feel here at MMGaming… Well I know that me and Tim definitely are settling into our holiday moods and will probably stay there for a good while now. Sorry, lost track of my train of thought there. Anyway, because it’s now time to party hard and get all drunked up (shteam shteam tambourine) they have down in a bar in Cornwall, called Loading, created a bunch of Minecraft themed shots.
The shots come in a set of 81 shot glasses, filled with 162 measures of alcohol. The shots contain Kahlua, Baileys, Midori, Blue Curacao, rum, pineapple juice and Sambuca. And they look… AWESOME! If you somehow manage to pay the £162 fee for the set then it’s guaranteed that you and your mates will get absolutely fucked up… On Minecraft no less…
Holy Superior Technology Batman!
This is actually a three-part news story that involves three things:
- an Xbox controller that is pressure sensitive and can tell who is using it
- Steam remote downloads has been launched
- And the reveal of the Unreal 4 Engine
First off Microsoft have indeed patented an Xbox controller which can tell whoever is using it by the pressure of their hands on it. The idea is that the controller will be able to recognise it’s own player and this will allow you to automatically log on to your Gamertag, e-mail, enter your password. Whatever, you want really. And this sounds like a really cool idea because it would be a step towards a personalised gaming experience, a gaming experience just for you. At the moment it’s just a patent (filled three years ago actually and only now finally approved) but it remains to be seen whether or not any real hardware will come from this. You can read a little more about the technology behind it here.
Honestly, I’m a little conflicted about this (the SABOR117 feels CONFLICTED!) because while I do approve of the idea, I also approve of the technology in the Kinect and the Wii. That doesn’t, however, make it good. I feel that no matter how sensitive these things are the pressure will be too easy to mimic from person to person, and then honestly I don’t hold my controllers the same way every time I sit down to play a game. It would be cool, but I’m just not convinced it would actually work.
The next piece of technology, from Valve, allows you to access your Steam account from your mobile phone (or other similar external device) and access your steam account and download and install the games so that they are ready and waiting for your return home. You can do this with any access to your Games list on the Steam Community site, which you can access from a web browser or the Steam mobile app (so any handheld device with access to the internet). I feel that this doesn’t work if your computer is off though.
Finally Epic Games have recently unveiled some screenshots of the Unreal Engine 4 and they are absolutely mind boggling. The screenshots are taken from a 152 second video which features a demon knight thing wielding a massive flaming mace in a mountain castle with lava and explosions and awesome pretty much everywhere. It’s designed to show off the engine to it’s greatest extent and even the screens are pretty fucking impressive (does anyone know where I can get my hands on that video?).
It’s worth mentioning here on a related note that apparently Epic Games (the ones behind this showcase of awesome) have actually seen the specs for the PS4 and the Xbox 720 and are “actively lobbying” to have them improved. I think I speak for us all when I say “DO EET MICROSOFT AND SONY!” If you want to read a little more into the actually specs of the Unreal Engine or see the screenshots click here and here.
There are rumours and theories on the internet that the reason for Bioshock Infinite’s delay to 2013 was due to the fact that they want to add in a multiplayer element to the game. These rumours were started when it became apparent that developers Irrational Games were looking for someone with experience in network programming. They were looking for someone who had “shipped at least one commercial network-connected game title, preferably on a console” and “previous experience developing network backend support on a multi-console title with support for matchmaking, stat tracking and analysis, in-game push updates, etc.”
So, a Bioshock Infinite multiplayer might be in the works… Well, I remember the fun I had playing the Bioshock 2 multiplayer. Sure I didn’t stick with it long and I think it’s most likely completely dead by now. But dammit, it was good and I’d be glad to see it make a comeback!
Assassin’s Creed 3 – bits and bobs
Now you might remember that fairly recently I wrote a news report about a novelist, John Beiswenger, suing Ubisoft for allegedly stealing the ideas and themes of his book Link and using them from Assassin’s Creed. If the court finds in favour of John here Ubisoft could be looking at paying the man up to $5.25 million in damages and he also supposedly could put a stop on production of Assassin’s Creed 3.
Now recently his lawyer has spoken out against the outrage of the community about that last part. I mean had it just been about money I’m fairly sure that community wouldn’t really be this outspoken, but the moment that it seemed our beloved AC3 was under threat… Well… SHIT HIT THE FAN! I mean even my initial reaction was one of “Oh hell no he did not” but I didn’t really take it further than stating a desire to murder him IN HIS SLEEP…
Sorry…
Anyway, I imagine that the reaction of the rest of the community has been somewhat more hardcore, especially knowing the internet. For one thing, his book on Amazon recently has taken an absolute bombing of reviews. And while this is all immoral and completely unfair on the man… It’s also pretty damn funny in a way.
Now honestly, I can understand the man’s desires to protect the ideas he came up with and the wanting compensation for the belief that someone else is making massive amounts of money off of his ideas. I can’t say whether or not Ubisoft did steal his ideas (although I like to think not) as I’ve never read Link but I hope that the courts find whoever is in the right. But I cannot understand, at all, his desire to have AC3 prevented from reaching us. That isn’t protecting his ideas and his right to his copyright, no that is simply petty and vindictive and I swear to god they better not take this game from me!
Mass Effect 3 – Rebellion DLC details leaked and then announced
It would appear that Bioware have inherited Ubisoft’s firewalls made of flimsy paper as the details for the Mass Effect 3 Rebellion DLC Pack were leaked onto the internet over a week before the official announcement of it. Honestly, they must be doing this deliberately, there’s no way that this could just KEEP happening.
The DLC will be completely free and includes two new multiplayer maps: Firebase Jade and Firebase Goddess, a few new weapons a six new playable characters. It will be available across all platforms from the 29th of May. The new characters which will be available are:
- Vorcha Soldier
- Vorcha Sentinel
- Male Quarian Engineer
- Male Quarian Infiltrator
- Ex-Cerberus Vanguard
- Ex-Cerberus Adept
Halo 4 – Spartan Ops
The multiplayer for Halo has been, and always will be, centred around the field of PvP since the dawn of time but this new introduction by 343 Studios to the Halo multiplayer sounds like it could actually prove both diverting and awesome. They are introducing a game mode called Spartan Ops which focuses on the ship the UNSC Infinity (shown above) which is the centre for all Spartan multiplayer combat simulations (i.e. the PvP) which are now being called War Games. The Spartan Ops will come in weekly cinematic episodes and will follow the Spartans of Majestic Squad and officers of the Infinity. Each episode will include new missions for one to four players and will act as a continuation of the campaign. It will also take place on the Forerunner world of Requiem. Sounds cool lads!
Borderlands 2 Tidbits
Two small stories about Borderlands 2, first up is the fact that the box-art (seen above) has been revealed, which is so cool that it deserves it’s own news post. I have to say, the originally the art style of Borderlands grated a little bit with me, but recently it’s been growing on me and I very much approve of this latest design.
The other little tidbit of news is that the Collectors Edition for Borderlands 2 was also recently revealed and I will tell you both of the two special editions that 2K are planning on releasing. The first is the Deluxe Hunter’s Collector’s Edition which will cost $99 (which is around £63 or whatever it is locally for you) and will contain an artbook, some stickers, a map of Pandora, a digital comic download code, and Marcus Kincaid bobblehead plus the in-game DLC (although I’m not sure if this is just special Collector’s Edition DLC or whether this is the DLC which will be released at later dates).
The other special edition is the Ultimate Loot Chest Limited Edition which is even more ridiculous. It cost $149 (or about £94) and contains all of the Deluxe Hunter’s Collector’s Edition as well as a collectible scale replica of the standard red loot chests found in Borderlands 2, a steel case, a “Creatures of Pandora ID chart”, a postcard set, and some field notes from Sir Hammerlock and even a cloth map. Each of these fabulous items also comes “individually numbered” I suppose that makes them more collectible or something.
Both of these special editions are available for all three release types and also come with a bunch of special in-game content. Special weapons and access to the Mechromancer, 5th character class. All for those massive amounts of money!
Elder Scrolls Online – All about the solo
The Elder Scrolls Online has already caused a great deal of strife amongst the Elder Scrolls community. For this game the game director, Matt Firor, at Bethesda, has decided that instead of the standard realistic feel of the previous games to go for a more fresh and cartoony look for the graphics and artwork as well as this they will have to balance the classes and they have to change the combat system because lag would make the first-person real-time combat system suffer and no work so well. While they have made these choices to give the game more functionality as an MMO it has also caused the community to be more than a little displeased. You see the thing is The Elder Scrolls has always been about the big massive single-player world, realistic graphics and first-person, real-time combat. To change these elements seems to be fighting what is the core of the Elder Scrolls series and I have to admit I do agree a little with that.
That said, Matt Firor has responded to the community displeasure saying that they welcome criticism and will try and answer most of the concerns raised. For one thing he has said that one thing they will try and do with the Elder Scrolls Online is to keep that feel that your character is the hero, that it’s you who is the supreme ultimate being of that age like the Dovahkiin of Skyrim. It will feel like you are alone in having to save the world and that people need your help specifically. And honestly I am willing to believe it’s possible to pull that off. During my brief time playing SWTOR I did feel a lot more like I was the one who would bring balance to the force (or whatever it is you do in SWTOR) the immersion and style of the game allowed me to feel that way. If Bethesda can pull that off but to a greater extent it might still have some of that Elder Scrolls feel.
For now though, I retain my scepticism…
Kingdom’s of Amalur Dev – Going down?
There has recently been a lot of concern that the company behind the development of massive RPG Kingdom’s of Amalur, 38 Studios, were in danger of going bankrupt and having to shut down. The studio attempted to show some strength by releasing a trailer for it’s current project called Project Copernicus which is/was a Kingdom’s of Amalur MMO and you can see the trailer down below in the videos section. I say “is/was” because since then 38 Studios have reportedly laid off all their staff and even have shut the smaller company they owned Big Huge games (which developed Kingdom’s of Amalur along with 38 Studios).
Despite the release of the video and the leaking of a few screenshots onto the internet (including the above one) 38 Studios seem to be in their death throes and so it may well come to pass that Project Copernicus and it’s rather pleasing angular art style will never see the light of day. It’s unfortunate but that’s the economy for you… Fuck I hate the economy right now…
Trailers and Videos
Oh god… *takes deep* breath. I think I need a few minutes… Honestly I don’t even know how I survived writing this it’s long than pretty much any essay I’ve written for any subject ever. If you managed to read it all, well. I think that YOU should get a prize as well, but come on I deserve a fucking medal here. Of course I also deserve a few slaps and a kick up the arse for getting myself into the predicament in the first place, but that is irrelevant!
Anyway, it is now time to sit back and enjoy what must be over a dozen pieces of awesome and coolness. Some are trailers, some are not, some involve new things, some we’ve seen before. What have we on the list today then folks?
First off comes the sneak peak at Project Copernicus from 38 Studios, and I have to admit it’d be a shame if they don’t finish it because it looks absolutely fantastic! Next we have a trailer for Quantum Conundrum and an explanation of Time, which unfortunately doesn’t mention anything wibbly-wobbly, nor even timey-wimey (they clearly missed an opportunity there). I have to say I still am really excited for that game as it just looks fantastic! Next we see the second part of the Darksiders 2 cinematic trailer featuring Death smashing some giant thing to oblivion. While still not excited about this game… I have to admit the trailer is rather spectacular!
Then we have the official trailer (finally) for the Harley Quinn’s Revenge DLC for Batman: Arkham City, and honestly it has only increased my anticipation for the game. This is followed by a trailer for The Last of Us, featuring a truck ambush and an Ellie redesign. It’s worth mentioning that the developers thought it would be better to change her facial features to less resemble Ellen Page and more resemble the woman who voices her (or so I believe).
Then we have something special (worth it’s own paragraph): it would appear that somehow some in-game engine footage of Beyond Good and Evil 2 has leaked onto the internet and is now on Youtube. I have to admit the footage impressed me a fair amount and if they can make the game actually behave like that I’ll be even MORE impressed. Definitely worth a look!
Then we have a whole lot of Assassin’s Creed 3 stuff. A developer’s diary documenting the team at Ubisoft preparing for E3, some in-game footage and another teaser trailer. Ah… be still my beating heart…
Back to the grind we have a Hitman: Sniper Challenge trailer (a new game mode for Hitman: Absolution which is ALREADY available I believe), followed by a trailer for the Game of Thrones RPG with some behind the scenes elements (cunningly called Behind the Wall, those clever bastards). Then we have an absolutely awesome 6 minute animated short delving a little into the history and lore of Diablo 3.
The final batch of videos has a live action teaser trailer for Metro: Last Light, the new trailer for Aliens: Colonial Marines (which is made with 100% in game footage) and finally the pre-alpha footage of Gone Home from the Fullbright Company. And that’s it…
You can go home now…
