Video Mondaily – Sir, You Are Being Hunted

Sir, You Are Being Hunted is a first person shooter set in a randomly generated British-style country full of forests, small villages, roads and all the sort of quintessential “British” rural necessities (or at least I believe that is what they were aiming for). Oh, plus there’s robots. The game is based around an alternate dimension sort-of-thing that the player has been teleported to in which you are the only human and steam-punk robots have taken over and are now trying to relocate your head from your shoulders. Plus they have top-hats, so they can’t be that bad.

Video Mondaily – Headshots and Trenches in Heroes of Stalingrad

Well here’s a game we haven’t heard from in a while, but it’s back and on Tim’s Twitch channel no less. Yes it is that toughest of World War 2 shooters, Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad. Since we reviewed it way back in 2011 none of us at MMGaming have really played much of Red Orchestra 2, which is a shame because it is indeed a fine game full of intense combat which has nowhere near the publicity or spread it really deserves. Tim has now rectified this by having a streaming session with the realistic FPS created by Tripwire Interactive and has even saved a couple of the best moments of his time spent playing it for your viewing pleasure. If you fancy a quick laugh and a quick example of gameplay why not check after the jump to watch a surprising amount of ownage in what is a ridiculously difficult game!

Video Mondaily – A first impressions of Impire

Hey look! We’re still not dead! Somehow… Anyway this Monday’s video comes at us courtesy of Paradox Interactive and Cyanide Montreal. The game I am playing here is their recently released strategy Impire and giving both me and you guys a first impressions look at it. Having never played the game before I had no idea what to expect going in except that it was an RTS and you play as an evil imp (hence the name). Check after the jump for the two videos so that you can have a look at some of the gameplay and at the style of the game! Remember if you do enjoy the video to head over to the Youtube Channel and send us some feedback. We always like to hear back from people!

The Banner Saga: Factions – Impressions

The Banner Saga is described as a role-playing, turn based strategy created by Stoic Games. The single player game is actually still in the process of being developed by the team at Stoic and utilising Kickstarter as a means of obtaining funds. As a basic description of the gameplay it appears to be an interesting and relatively unique style of RTS in which you choose a team of Viking-esque soldiers and then utilise your team on a grid-battlefield, moving a unit per turn switching between both sides. Currently, as I say, the singleplayer has not been released. However, the free-to-play online multiplayer portion of the game: Factions has recently been released and is available for download from both Steam and the game’s official website. Tim has now taken the opportunity to give us a look at the gameplay and style of The Banner Saga in an impressions video which you can find after the jump. With a rather nice graphics style and a pretty cool gameplay mechanic (not to mention it’s free) The Banner Saga: Factions is certainly worth looking at in our video!

Video Tue-daily – What, what? In the butt? No… IN THE FACE!!

So, this is yesterday’s content… Oops… Oh well! We are waaay behind schedule anyway so who really cares? Anyway this weeks featured video from the Youtube channel is a brief League of Legends clip which is absolutely worth the watch. What starts of as the opening of a standard League of Legends game with joking between MMGaming’s Tim and some of the other members of the Glasgow Highlanders (GlaLnd is the Ranked Team us MMGamers are part of). What starts off as what is an amusing exchange quickly turns into one of the reasons why Tim is an absolute pro at LoL and a complete hero. If you doubt me watch the video and enjoy the absolute carnage!

Video Mondaily – Dance with your Dead

Hey folks! Remember us? Well we are not actually dead, despite our most recent post  being well over a week ago and having only posted three times across January. What can I say, we were all enjoying the festive spirit of Winter-een-Mas with much gaming and not so much of the writing about gaming… Well, I will say that we are actually still very much alive and kicking and we will be kicking back into gear soon, this week hopefully!

The MMGaming Awards – 2012

The world awaits with bated breath as we at MMGaming have been considering the various awards we would like to hand out at this years MGA (MMGaming Gaming Awards): the more prestigious version of the VGA. All across the globe the big game companies are staring at their browsers, just waiting to see if their game will be forever immortalized in our hearts and minds. Joking aside though, it is indeed time for us to look back at 2012 and consider what the highlights, and possible low-lights (if that is indeed a word), of the year were! Now while we do put a fair amount of thought into the various awards (even those we include only as a way of amusing both you and ourselves) when it comes to the bigger and more serious things the MMGamers have an unfortunate tendency to not agree on who ought to be winning. That’s why that in the following, very prestigious, very formal and serious award ceremony (done via a post on the internet) some of the awards might have input from more than one of us, explaining why THIS particular game should win THIS particular award. Naturally you should be listening to me here and not the others, of course… Anyway, without any further ado I hereby welcome you to the MMGaming Game Awards!

Video Mondaily – Here to get your PULSE racing

I have been feeling a little bit down on making more Black Mesa videos after the disaster which occurred a couple of weeks ago resulting in the loss of episodes 7, 8 and 9. And while I have also planned to do a few other bits and bobs, including a few of the more interesting encounters in Borderlands 2, I have yet to actually get round to it. I will say first of all that these things ARE still in the works and I do mean to finish Black Mesa but I felt that I wanted to take a little break from it and do something completely different.

Catch-Up News – Catching up from a time long since past…

I have no excuses of any real merit as to why I have not posted any News for the last two months and a half. Minus a week that I spent on Holiday without internet and the few days it took to move into my new student flat I really could have been posting Endweek News without any real issues. Seeing as it has actually been over a month since I last posted any form of News the prospect of posting EVERY piece of interesting News during that time makes me go pale with terror. I’ve posted long News posts before BUT I would very much rather avoid having to write out 10,000 words which, let’s be honest here, few people would ever struggle through (no matter how interesting the content). Instead, I did have a few tidbits I had collected with the intention of posting (but never got round to it) from in between our last post (on the 6th) and the present. Hopefully the interest level here will make up for the fact that most of them come really rather late…

Video Mondaily – Lots of Torchlight 2

Hey folks! Yeah we’re finally back after over two weeks of not posting we ought to be getting back into the game (pun intended). Seriously though the past few weeks have been a mixture of distractions, everyone being busy and most of us being lazy and so we haven’t been posting, I know it’s been ever longer than that since we’ve had some News, but hey… I was in holiday mode! Seriously though we ought to be getting back into the posting business properly round about now as we have all now settled into our respective Uni’s and are ready to work on things both Work and Game wise. Just as importantly we are already getting some great videos onto Youtube for you to check out! And today we have a rather nice little selection of videos for you to check out. Gary and Tim were lucky enough to start playing Torchlight 2, the top down RPG similar to Diablo 3, from Runic Games and have already created a number of cool little videos. Each video features a different encounter or a different challenge and most are conducted with the two of them mostly muddling their way through! So, short and sweet and you can check them out after the jump! Enjoy my friends! And remember to keep coming back for more!
