Catch-Up News – Catching up from a time long since past…

I have no excuses of any real merit as to why I have not posted any News for the last two months and a half. Minus a week that I spent on Holiday without internet and the few days it took to move into my new student flat I really could have been posting Endweek News without any real issues.

Seeing as it has actually been over a month since I last posted any form of News the prospect of posting EVERY piece of interesting News during that time makes me go pale with terror. I’ve posted long News posts before BUT I would very much rather avoid having to write out 10,000 words which, let’s be honest here, few people would ever struggle through (no matter how interesting the content). Instead, I did have a few tidbits I had collected with the intention of posting (but never got round to it) from in between our last post (on the 6th) and the present.

Hopefully the interest level here will make up for the fact that most of them come really rather late…

Endweek News – Assassin’s Creed lawsuit not quite finished yet, What is this E3 thing?, a new Gears of War and some truly awesome videos!

It is that time of week where once again I delve into the grim and gritty business of video game news. It’s a cut-throat world out there, a game eat game world. A world in which only the fittest and most awesome games survive. And Call of Duty of course (OOoooh! ZING!). But seriously, it’s not really that bad (well not for everyone) and we’ve got some pretty interesting bits and pieces of news to regale you with today. Also I want to make it clear that the above video is indeed sort of relevant to this post as you shall find out later (if you read through this!)

So, what’s new Gamers?

Endweek News – Gods and Kings, Mass Effect 3 gets some delicious DLC, Assassins Creed 3 shenanigans and Relationships are Tricky…

I write this news post in the early hours of the morning as it was meant to be up yesterday. I do promise that I will try and be more punctual about these but the end of lectures and classes at University have put me in a holiday/lazy mood. Which when combined with my inherent laziness is difficult to overcome. However, let’s crack on and do the news from the last couple of days.

What is going on in the gaming world?

Left 4 Dead Fan Film smacks us right in the Awesome

The film I mentioned a couple of weeks back came out a few days ago (it was posted on Youtube on the 16th of this month). And like a great many fan films these days it is absolutely awesome. I always think that live-action videos for games and fan stuff can sometimes just be so damn good and this video is no exception to either of those rules. Created by Airsoft GI and Northern Five Entertainment, it’s a genuinely awesome and cool video and I suggest you check it out after the jump!

A word of warning, after I post the video I am actually going to give some thoughts on it… So you should be sure to watch the video before scrolling too far down to avoid any spoilers… Continue reading
