I think that an awards post for each year is a great idea. Having said that I also think that some awarding bodies are dumb as hell. Like doing awards for a year near the start of the year for instance. Well, I wanted to make doubly sure that 2017 was over before posting this year’s MMGaming Awards, which is why it’s getting posted after the mid-point of 2018… Are you buying this…? Continue reading
2015 was a big year in video games. Several massive releases each of which several were genuinely incredible. Well, rather than sating us, we were only provided with a hunger, nay a NEED, for more… Unfortunately though it seems that the gaming industry’s recovery period is at least a year because 2016 was mostly, let’s face it, pretty disappointing.
I guess it’s only fitting that the games of 2016 would be a bit subpar given how shitty everything else was this year. I mean seriously… This is legit a meme now… 2016 was ACTUALLY cursed? What the heck? Continue reading
Hey folks! Remember us? Well we are not actually dead, despite our most recent post being well over a week ago and having only posted three times across January. What can I say, we were all enjoying the festive spirit of Winter-een-Mas with much gaming and not so much of the writing about gaming…
Well, I will say that we are actually still very much alive and kicking and we will be kicking back into gear soon, this week hopefully! Continue reading
The world awaits with bated breath as we at MMGaming have been considering the various awards we would like to hand out at this years MGA (MMGaming Gaming Awards): the more prestigious version of the VGA. All across the globe the big game companies are staring at their browsers, just waiting to see if their game will be forever immortalized in our hearts and minds.
Joking aside though, it is indeed time for us to look back at 2012 and consider what the highlights, and possible low-lights (if that is indeed a word), of the year were! Now while we do put a fair amount of thought into the various awards (even those we include only as a way of amusing both you and ourselves) when it comes to the bigger and more serious things the MMGamers have an unfortunate tendency to not agree on who ought to be winning. That’s why that in the following, very prestigious, very formal and serious award ceremony (done via a post on the internet) some of the awards might have input from more than one of us, explaining why THIS particular game should win THIS particular award. Naturally you should be listening to me here and not the others, of course…
Anyway, without any further ado I hereby welcome you to the MMGaming Game Awards!
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!! I hope you all got some lovely presents, I hope you got to spend time with your families and we would like to wish you the very best over the rest of the Holidays!
Now Christmas is over though it’s time to play those games we got as presents! Normal cynical service resuming shortly!
Boy oh boy do we have an awesome selection of videos for your viewing pleasure today! Over this past weekend much fun was had in having the wits scared out of us in three different games: Survivors, Slender The Eight Pages and SCP: Containment Breach (SCP: CB). Three games with three different monsters that are capable of quantum teleportation (thank you Dr. Who for that one), have to be avoided and can scare the piss out of you at any given moment of time.
Thanks to the amount of scares and fun which was had in having the scares we actually now have SEVEN different videos for you to enjoy! You can watch them all now or slowly allow them to filter into your mind over the coming week, thus sustaining you until the next Video Mondaily (depends on how you take your sustenance I guess).
Some of you might have been enjoying our Amnesia series with Tim getting the heeby-jeebies on an episodic basis. I know I was enjoying it, it’s not often I see him in quite so much fear of his life. However, for whatever reason he has been struggling with getting Amnesia to run properly on his computer along with his recording equipment and so, after a long and difficult struggle, he has given up. I personally thought this was pretty unfortunate as it is one of our longest series and I thought a good one at that.
Well, fortune smiled upon us that day as my own saved game in Amnesia was actually at a point fairly close to where Tim’s final episode stopped. So with a great deal of trepidation and inwardly cursing myself for the idea I started to play the indie game from Frictional Entertainment again. So far it’s been dark and scary and very scary, but I am persevering and as luck (if you can call it luck) would have it, my computer DOESN’T crash when playing the game. So today’s video Mondaily features the proud “restart” of our Amnesia series! Check after the jump to enjoy!
