Endweek News – Colour Me Intrigued, Release Date City and Videos and Trailers

Hey everyone, it is Sunday again and as usual it is time for the News! Last week I epically failed in that I posted the news from the previous two weeks but then completely forgot to post the Colour Me Intrigued, Release Date City and Videos section. That means that actually this week  this part of the Endweek News is actually THREE WEEKS worth of stuff as opposed to just one… Yeah I know, failure at it’s finest…

However, the normal Endweek News section will just be the news from the past week and I hope to have that uploaded later today as well! Anyway, enough talk! What has been intriguing and awesome in the last three weeks? Check after the jump to find out!

Slender and Vicnity: Warp Reality – Some Ideas for Your Little Minutes

So you’re busy, you’ve got about an hour before you have to deal with some stuff in the real world. That world into which I rarely venture. I understand that some people, for bizarre reasons, don’t have the time to sit down and play six straight hours of Skyrim or Mass Effect 3 and so while I do not understand I suppose I should take pity on them and offer them some solace. Thus here comes the second article in our series of Some Ideas for Your Little Minutes. These articles will be of games (or perhaps betas of games) that we can’t rightfully give full reviews, because we don’t classify them as full games. But importantly these games will not be something you need to sit down and focus on for hours on end!

This time we have two games for your consideration: Slender by Parsec Productions and Vicinity: Warp Reality by students in their final year of their Diploma in Game and Entertainment Technology at Temasek Polytechnic.

Portal 2, Peer Review – Review

Before we get started I want to make it absolutely clear that I am fully aware that my choice of title is both cumbersome and difficult, but you know what? I am reviewing the Portal 2 DLC called Peer Review and so I think it only fair that I state that right out. No matter how many times it may make me wish I had the imagination to come up with something better. Peer Review was the first major batch of downloadable content for Portal 2 and it was released last October, so like our Portal 2 review this review of the DLC comes at you a bit late. The content is also completely free, so honestly if you own Portal 2 it’s something of a no-brainer, but let’s go ahead and review it anyway!

Song of the Week – This is Aperture

It is time to get ready for the weekend (fun fun fun?) and in order to get us in the mood we have a new song of the week. This is Aperture, a Portal 2 themed version of This is Halloween from the Nightmare Before Christmas, created by one Harry101UK. This is Aperture? This is AWESOME more like!

Because it is awesome! Not only is the original score by Danny Elfman completely fantastic, but this is also absolutely legendary! Let’s mess about with some Portals shall we?

More Portal 2 DLC

Valve have already announced that there will be some more Portal 2 DLC arriving some time early 2012. Not too much is known yet, prices and what it will fully contain have yet to be announced, as is whether or not it will be available on all platforms. What is known though is that people will be able to create their own test chambers!

How fucking cool is that! In a sort of Halo Forge style you will be able to create your own test chambers post them online and people will vote for the best ones. Now that on it’s own actually sounds like the shiznuts so I wouldn’t be surprised if end up getting it even if it isn’t free!
