Video Mondaily – Lots of Torchlight 2

Hey folks! Yeah we’re finally back after over two weeks of not posting we ought to be getting back into the game (pun intended). Seriously though the past few weeks have been a mixture of distractions, everyone being busy and most of us being lazy and so we haven’t been posting, I know it’s been ever longer than that since we’ve had some News, but hey… I was in holiday mode! Seriously though we ought to be getting back into the posting business properly round about now as we have all now settled into our respective Uni’s and are ready to work on things both Work and Game wise. Just as importantly we are already getting some great videos onto Youtube for you to check out! And today we have a rather nice little selection of videos for you to check out.

Gary and Tim were lucky enough to start playing Torchlight 2, the top down RPG similar to Diablo 3, from Runic Games and have already created a number of cool little videos. Each video features a different encounter or a different challenge and most are conducted with the two of them mostly muddling their way through! So, short and sweet and you can check them out after the jump! Enjoy my friends! And remember to keep coming back for more!

Video Mondaily – Seb Stepping In

Some of you might have been enjoying our Amnesia series with Tim getting the heeby-jeebies on an episodic basis. I know I was enjoying it, it’s not often I see him in quite so much fear of his life. However, for whatever reason he has been struggling with getting Amnesia to run properly on his computer along with his recording equipment and so, after a long and difficult struggle, he has given up. I personally thought this was pretty unfortunate as it is one of our longest series and I thought a good one at that.

Well, fortune smiled upon us that day as my own saved game in Amnesia was actually at a point fairly close to where Tim’s final episode stopped. So with a great deal of trepidation and inwardly cursing myself for the idea I started to play the indie game from Frictional Entertainment again. So far it’s been dark and scary and very scary, but I am persevering and as luck (if you can call it luck) would have it, my computer DOESN’T crash when playing the game. So today’s video Mondaily features the proud “restart” of our Amnesia series! Check after the jump to enjoy!

War of Human Tanks – Preview

Fear not readers of MMGaming! Seb and Tim are back and we are ready to once again jump right back into our duties, and we promise they’ll be just as slow and haphazard as always… That’s just our style!

Anyway this Friday’s review comes in the form of a Preview video Tim recorded a couple of weeks ago. War of Human Tanks is an anime style strategy game of a similar style to the famous Advance Wars for Gameboy, with the odd twist of a gameplay mechanic which is a combination of both real-time and turn-based strategy. In the game you take control of a number of, well as the name suggests, human tanks on a board covered in fog of war. The above interesting gameplay mechanic Tim shows and discusses and in the video you also get to see a fair bit of gameplay. You can check it out and read a little more after the jump.

Tower Wars – Tower Defence/Attack (Video Impressions)

Tower Wars is Supervillain Games’ shot at making a multiplayer tower defence game, which recently seen its release on Steam for £6.99 (About $11).  Ingredients for this game: take your Tower Defence genre and add the multiplayer element, here we have the base of the game. Now add a dash of Real-Time Strategy, being careful not to add to much, finally add a very generous lump of Steam Punk style and leave to bake for 25 – 30 minutes… No but in all seriousness this is a very fresh and brand new type of game in our eyes.

Endweek News – Colour Me Intrigued, Release Date City and Videos and Trailers

Hey everyone, it is Sunday again and as usual it is time for the News! Last week I epically failed in that I posted the news from the previous two weeks but then completely forgot to post the Colour Me Intrigued, Release Date City and Videos section. That means that actually this week  this part of the Endweek News is actually THREE WEEKS worth of stuff as opposed to just one… Yeah I know, failure at it’s finest…

However, the normal Endweek News section will just be the news from the past week and I hope to have that uploaded later today as well! Anyway, enough talk! What has been intriguing and awesome in the last three weeks? Check after the jump to find out!

Our Thoughts On: Symphony

On Monday of this week developer Empty Clip Studios published the casual indie game Symphony. The game is similar in a way to Audiosurf in that the game is based around importing your own music from your computer into the game and then playing the game along with that music. It’s a simple enough premise where you play as a small ship defending and arena against waves of enemies where the speed and intensity of the enemy waves is determined by the speed and intensity of the music. It’s masterfully done and is an absolute joy to play.

We thought that the game would come across better with a video review rather than a written review so I have created a My Thoughts On: Symphony video for you all to enjoy. I play through three of my songs in the game and have a great time doing so. I would absolutely recommend you check out the video to sell yourself on the game because you should then head over to Desura or Steam to buy it! Check the video after the jump!

Our Thoughts On – Super Monday Night Combat

Today’s review comes in the form of another My Thoughts On from Tim and this time he’s reviewing Super Monday Night Combat or Super MNC. This is another MOBA similar to Smite in that it occurs from a third person perspective but again has a few unique things which set it apart from the rest. The game comes to us from Uber Entertainment and looks pretty entertaining. But you’ll have to look at the video to find out our thoughts on the game. It is also available for free download and play here.

Honestly I’d like to say more but I, like a great many people I imagine, am watching my recorded version of the Olympic Opening Ceremony so I” just let the video do the talking for me! Check it out after the jump!
