Endweek News – A writer sues Ubisoft, Halo 4 get’s a release date, Trailers for God of War and 0x10c are everywhere and Arkham City content get’s teased

Once again (due to the excuses I lined out last week) I again failed to post any Midweek News this past week. As well as that, this session of Endweek News was hastily researched and thrown together, you’ll just have to forgive me for these things as I have been rather busy. That said most of the news from this past week is actually trailers and other videos, so less reading for you guys. I will say no more on it but jump straight into the news!

Endweek News (unfortunately late) – Much releases and trailers, some early 0x10c screenshots, a new Borderlands character and some Bullshit Excuses

A number of you might have noticed the conspicuous absence of any Midweek News this past week. Well I fear those sharp-eyed amongst you to have spotted that will probably spot similar things again over the coming weeks due to a number of excuses that we at MMGaming have. Very good excuses actually, I’ll have you know! We can’t spend all our time playing games and talking about them… Ye gods! What the hell am I saying?!? Levity aside, it’s actually true. Nick and Josh both have commitments outside of the world of gaming which make the time they can spend on MMGaming fairly limited and me and Tim have now, once again, entered that foul time period known to all in University… Yes my friends we are once again preparing for exams and Tim at least won’t be posting AT ALL while doing so. Coincidentally we both finish on the 14th of May so you should see a return to normal around then.

Overhaul

Hey folks! You may be wondering why things have been slowing down of late in regards to reviews/news and other shenanigans and I just want to inform ya’ll to our plans. While we have been receiving steady viewership (thanks guys!) we are looking to overhaul the site into something more consistent and high quality. With that in mind there is going to be a lot of changes coming in over the next couple of weeks and as a result posts will be sparse. Yet have no fear! Things are on the up and we hope it will stay that way. Keep an eye on us and you won’t be disappointed! Regards, The MMGaming Team   EDIT: We are also considering changing to a Joomla layout (from the current WordPress layout) which might result in some downtime while we mess around to get it working. If the site isn’t up for any reason just assume that we are working on it and come back in a couple of hours!

Song of the Week – Mass Effect dubstepz

It’s that time of the week again folks. Actually, I’ve been wanting to say something about that… But first let’s get the tunes going! This week I’ve got two things to offer you! First I have some official Bioware Dubstep! Bioware stuck pieces of footage from a variety of their trailers for Mass Effect 3 and then put some rather cool wubwubwub over the top of it. Excellent! The bad news on that score is that I couldn’t find the video on Youtube, so I can only provide you with a link to that. So as a peace offering I chose one of the Mass Effect dubsteps on Youtube and have embedded that instead! Two pieces of music! You lucky thing you!

People Of The Internet – What you playin’?

You may remember we used to run a weekly post on what us MMGaming writers were playing, and we asked you what you were playing. Well it’s back and reformed! We new use the website Backloggery to keep up to date on our games that we are playing at the moment and ones that we still have to complete. I personally use it in an attempt to log every game I’v ever played, whereas Nick uses it to keep more informed on his day-to-day gaming habits. Anyway, I encourage you all to check out our individual links down below and to still comment on what you are playing/will be playing this coming week. It interests us!

Play Avec MMGaming’s Tim

Hello readers! Just a quick heads up to let you know that the Blacklight Retribution beta is now open for all and for that reason I will be playing tonight at 9pm GMT if anyone wishes to join me (message me in game I’m MMGamingTim on Europe1) . You can download the beta here and from what I’ve played so far it really is worth a shot. See you on the battlefield.

A period of silence

Hey folks just a bit of news about me personally (Seb) which will affect MMGaming just a little in the next couple of weeks. As you are possibly aware, if you keep up to date with us and any other gaming news sites, earlier this week (on the 14th to be precise) Crusader Kings 2 was released by Paradox Interactive. As well as that the week before (on the 10th) Europe saw the release of Kingdom’s of Amalur: Reckoning by 38 Studios and Big Huge Games.

Neptune’s Pride – MMGaming suffers another loss

It is a sad day for MMGaming, and the galaxy, as the second Rock, Paper, Shotgun community Neptune’s Pride epic has been completed (well technically I was in the third game but that’s not important). As you can see from the Star Map above, it did not end well for me. I decided to ally myself with the Yellows (called elephant god), through thick and thin. Eventually Yushi (the red) attacked the both of us because he was simply twice as strong as both of combined.

Happy Winter-een-Mas from MMGaming!

As defined by Urban Dictionary: Winter-een-Mas is a gamer’s holiday. The Winter-een-Mas season lasts all of January, but the holiday is the last week of January, January 25-31. It emphasizes the companionship of gamers. However, gift-giving is not recommended, as it may ruin the holiday spirit. Small, handmade gifts are quite alright, though. Celebrate Winter-een-mas by playing videogames with your friends, by wearing interesting gaming clothing/accesories, and especially by writing letters of thanks to those wonderful developers who make the games!

MMGaming’s War on the Wall of Flesh!

A while ago I joined Tim in a game of Terraria on his world. Tim was actually a reasonable way into game and knows a hell of a lot about the game. Whereas I was a noob who had played about 15 minutes of the awesome game in total. Tim, despite being a boss, was however in need of a bit of help taking down an absolutely massive and difficult boss in the game called The Wall of Flesh. The Wall, once summoned covers the whole up and down distance of the map and you have to constantly move away from it while slowly whittling down it’s massive health store.
