Video Mondaily – Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs is here!

In case you were living in a cave or a hole somewhere I should inform you now that the incredibly hyped and highly sought after sequel to Frictional Games’ Amnesia: The Dark Descent was released just under a week ago around the world and has been providing scares and screams to many already. Amnesia: The Dark Descent is wifely considered to be one of (if not The) scariest horror games ever created and so the hype for the sequel was really rather massive, his same hype was compounded when it was revealed that Frictional Games would be working with The Chinese Room to make Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs (a company probably best known for the remake of Dear Esther). Well, I have succeeded in getting my hands on A Machine for Pigs, and as me and Tim made a Playthrough of the original it only seemed logical and reasonable that I make a full Playthrough/Walkthrough of it’s successor. The first episode was released early last week with episode 2 being released today and I will post both of them here after the jump! I will be continuing to post episodes as fast as I can throw them together and I hope you enjoy watching me get the shit scared out of my bum because I do believe that might be what will be occurring!

Video Mondaily – Sir, You Are Being Hunted

Sir, You Are Being Hunted is a first person shooter set in a randomly generated British-style country full of forests, small villages, roads and all the sort of quintessential “British” rural necessities (or at least I believe that is what they were aiming for). Oh, plus there’s robots. The game is based around an alternate dimension sort-of-thing that the player has been teleported to in which you are the only human and steam-punk robots have taken over and are now trying to relocate your head from your shoulders. Plus they have top-hats, so they can’t be that bad.

Oldweek News – Seb’s Top 5 from the past

Hey everyone! THIS IS NOT THE ENDWEEK NEWS! In fact I probably shouldn’t even post this… This was a news post I started work on for the last week in February. It was going to contain an apology for not keeping up with the news, despite my promises to myself and to you guys that I would. Even with the new “Seb’s Top 5” system I haven’t been bothering to write a news article at all. This is something I need to deal with and I am currently looking into the possibility of turning it into a weekly video instead, to try and MAKE myself do it. ANYWAY. The reason I am actually posting this is because I had all of what is below here written and sorted for about two months and it just didn’t seem quite right to simply delete and throw it all away. However, it IS now two months old and so doesn’t really count as news any more. I just didn’t want what I have to go to waste and so I am posting it anyway. Hopefully it’s still entertaining enough that it might make for a good read.

Endweek News – Seb’s Top Five

Welcome folks, welcome to the Endweek News! This is your weekly segment of SOME things gaming. I say “some” things because, frankly, I have neither the time nor the botheredness to actually post everything of gaming related interest every week and so I will be trimming off the fat and the sliiiightly less interesting stories in favour of the Top Five stories of the week! Welcome to the Endweek News – Seb’s Top Five! So I was ill over the weekend and am only just now putting the finishing touches on this and posting it… Trust me when I say other than a few little things this was ready to be posted on Sunday. Apologies for the poor start.

Pulse, The Rake and Survivors – Some Ideas for Your Little Minutes

So you’re busy, you’ve got about an hour before you have to deal with some stuff in the real world. That world into which I rarely venture. I understand that some people, for bizarre reasons, don’t have the time to sit down and play six straight hours of Skyrim or Mass Effect 3 and so while I do not understand I suppose I should take pity on them and offer them some solace. Thus here comes the second article in our series of Some Ideas for Your Little Minutes. These articles will be of games (or perhaps betas of games) that we can’t rightfully give full reviews, because we don’t classify them as full games. But importantly these games will not be something you need to sit down and focus on for hours on end!

Catch-Up News – Catching up from a time long since past…

I have no excuses of any real merit as to why I have not posted any News for the last two months and a half. Minus a week that I spent on Holiday without internet and the few days it took to move into my new student flat I really could have been posting Endweek News without any real issues. Seeing as it has actually been over a month since I last posted any form of News the prospect of posting EVERY piece of interesting News during that time makes me go pale with terror. I’ve posted long News posts before BUT I would very much rather avoid having to write out 10,000 words which, let’s be honest here, few people would ever struggle through (no matter how interesting the content). Instead, I did have a few tidbits I had collected with the intention of posting (but never got round to it) from in between our last post (on the 6th) and the present. Hopefully the interest level here will make up for the fact that most of them come really rather late…

Tower Wars – Tower Defence/Attack (Video Impressions)

Tower Wars is Supervillain Games’ shot at making a multiplayer tower defence game, which recently seen its release on Steam for £6.99 (About $11).  Ingredients for this game: take your Tower Defence genre and add the multiplayer element, here we have the base of the game. Now add a dash of Real-Time Strategy, being careful not to add to much, finally add a very generous lump of Steam Punk style and leave to bake for 25 – 30 minutes… No but in all seriousness this is a very fresh and brand new type of game in our eyes.

Our Thoughts On: Stacking

Stacking, a puzzle/adventure game developed by Double Fine Productions was initially released on XBLA and PSN over a year ago but was only as recently as March released on PC. Tim bought the game in the Steam Summer Sale, which continues to go around making everyone spend lots of money, and has provided us with a review! This is not, however, any ordinary review. For this is the first video in Tim’s new video series: My Thoughts On. Tim will from now on mostly be providing video content for MMGaming and less written work and as such his reviews will from now on be done in video form. We do have our standard rating but this time our rambling thoughts and opinions come at you in the form of sound and not text! Hoorah!

Endweek News – Release Dates, Interesting Stuff and Videos

Release Date city There are two pretty big release dates to inform all you folks about and both are for March next year. First up is Gears of War Judgement, the next Gears game which will be a prequel for the whole series and will follow Damon Baird and his own crew of four and has been set for a 19th of March release date by Epic Games. The other big release was revealed on the Amazon UK website which states that Splinter Cell: Blacklist will be coming to the UK on the 29th of March next year.

Endweek News – Awesome Gameplay of Dishonored, Concept Art of Episode 3, some Halo 4 stuff, Meeting the Pyro and the release date of Guild Wars 2

Another week has passed, I hope that for you it was more productive than mine was. The biggest news that you can expect from me this week is that I completed Deus Ex: Human Revolution on Xbox and despite constantly saving and being more careful than a very careful thing I managed to set off a bloody alarm at SOME point during the game without noticing and thus missed out on an extra 100 achievement points for my gamer-score. Honestly, I think that has thrown me into a bad mood and I… Oh you’re here for some REAL news? I forgot that this Deus Ex stuff wasn’t important… So what is important eh? What important shiz has been happiziling?
