Video Tue-daily – What, what? In the butt? No… IN THE FACE!!

So, this is yesterday’s content… Oops… Oh well! We are waaay behind schedule anyway so who really cares?

Anyway this weeks featured video from the Youtube channel is a brief League of Legends clip which is absolutely worth the watch. What starts of as the opening of a standard League of Legends game with joking between MMGaming’s Tim and some of the other members of the Glasgow Highlanders (GlaLnd is the Ranked Team us MMGamers are part of). What starts off as what is an amusing exchange quickly turns into one of the reasons why Tim is an absolute pro at LoL and a complete hero.

If you doubt me watch the video and enjoy the absolute carnage!

Catch-Up News – Catching up from a time long since past…

I have no excuses of any real merit as to why I have not posted any News for the last two months and a half. Minus a week that I spent on Holiday without internet and the few days it took to move into my new student flat I really could have been posting Endweek News without any real issues.

Seeing as it has actually been over a month since I last posted any form of News the prospect of posting EVERY piece of interesting News during that time makes me go pale with terror. I’ve posted long News posts before BUT I would very much rather avoid having to write out 10,000 words which, let’s be honest here, few people would ever struggle through (no matter how interesting the content). Instead, I did have a few tidbits I had collected with the intention of posting (but never got round to it) from in between our last post (on the 6th) and the present.

Hopefully the interest level here will make up for the fact that most of them come really rather late…

Endweek News – Awesome Gameplay of Dishonored, Concept Art of Episode 3, some Halo 4 stuff, Meeting the Pyro and the release date of Guild Wars 2

Another week has passed, I hope that for you it was more productive than mine was. The biggest news that you can expect from me this week is that I completed Deus Ex: Human Revolution on Xbox and despite constantly saving and being more careful than a very careful thing I managed to set off a bloody alarm at SOME point during the game without noticing and thus missed out on an extra 100 achievement points for my gamer-score. Honestly, I think that has thrown me into a bad mood and I… Oh you’re here for some REAL news? I forgot that this Deus Ex stuff wasn’t important…

So what is important eh? What important shiz has been happiziling?

Happy Winter-een-Mas from MMGaming!

As defined by Urban Dictionary: Winter-een-Mas is a gamer’s holiday. The Winter-een-Mas season lasts all of January, but the holiday is the last week of January, January 25-31. It emphasizes the companionship of gamers. However, gift-giving is not recommended, as it may ruin the holiday spirit. Small, handmade gifts are quite alright, though.

Celebrate Winter-een-mas by playing videogames with your friends, by wearing interesting gaming clothing/accesories, and especially by writing letters of thanks to those wonderful developers who make the games!

League of Legends Review

League of Legends is a free online multi-player RTS (real-time strategy). Player are formed into two teams, either a 3v3 or 5v5 depending on the map. You control 1 of (currently as of August 2011) 81 champions and each champion is different in their own way. Different spells, different attributes, different strengths, each champion can contribute to the team in their own way. This makes the variations of a team numerous and will ensure you will encounter something new every game as no two players are ever the same. All champions level up throughout each game, starting at 1 (obviously) and maxing to 18, at every level you can improve a spell making it stronger and more effective. To gain experience to level up you have to go about killing minions and champions. Games can last from 20min to an average of 45min. Since this is online there are patches coming out all the time updating the game; bringing new characters, items and soon a new map and game type. As stated before you are in teams of 3 or 5 and teamwork is essential if you want to win, and should you ever have to fight missing a person it gets even more… challenging. Continue reading
