There were recently rumours about the possibility that Valve might be making a console, commonly referred to as a Steam Box (or at least I called it that). Well, bad news anyone who thought this was a good idea as it has been confirmed by Valve that they are NOT making a console, nor have they any plans to do so any time soon.
Yesterday Kevin Dent, the chairman of the IGDA Mobile SIG (International Game Developer’s Association mobile games devision, in case like me you need to look it up) apparently alleged on his twitter feed that video gaming giant THQ was in financial trouble and as such would not be producing it’s 2014 games line-up. The thing most people were concerned about here was the upcoming Warhammer 40K MMO: Dark Millennium Online.
There are rumours now circulating the web that EA have teamed up with Bioware (currently one of my three favourite video games companies in case you cared) to make a new Command and Conquer called: Command and Conquer Alliances.
So, someone has seen a Valve employee wearing a t-shirt with a Half-Life 3 logo printed on it. Naturally this sparked up the rumour mill and people are now assuming that this means that Half-Life 3 is in development and could be announced at any second!
Because you know… we’re stupid enough to fall for this sort of thing…
