Kingdom’s of Amalur: Reckoning – radio silence much?

38 Studios in conjunction with Big Huge Games and EA today released Kingdom’s of Amalur: Reckoning in North America and it will be coming to stores in Europe on the 10th. If you haven’t heard anything about it it’s a massive fantasy RPG which looks to have gameplay similar to that of Dragon Age (in the position of the camera at least).

Supposedly your character starts of as a “blank slate” and, like Fable you can level up whatever talents and skills you want. Also apparently the game is absolutely massive with well over 200 hours of gameplay. In fact supposedly there are 200 hours of gameplay in doing a speed run of the game, where you already know how to do everything and have done it before.

All in all, it actually sounds like the sort of game I would absolutely love to play so you might well be wondering why I haven’t mentioned it before now (the bigger games websites seem to have been mentioning it every single day for the last month or so). Well it’s partly because I’ve been too focused on other games, partly due to feeling like there would be too much to cover and partly laziness.

But there you have it! I’ve made ONE news post about it. I actually still retain hopes that I’ll get my hands on a copy because the more I look at it, the more an ideal game it seems to be. Anyway, check out some awesome launch trailery-ness!

Isn’t it pretty?
